NEED HELP FINDING A SONG!!!

I out at a resturant last night with Steph, and in the bathroom there was a song playing and it was the one time I didn't have my phone on to shazam it, so I only caught part of the song. If you can help me find this song, I will be your best friend or possibly give you a CS GO skin or game! It was a women singing, it had almost a 80-90's feel to it, and I was only able to catch part of the song and even these lyrics could be wrong! If you have ANY idea or care to dig deeper than I have please let me know! and NO it isn't Straight up by Paulda Abdule.

What sounded like the chorus I am PRETTY sure she says "...Just straight, tell me straight..." PLEASE HELP ME!!!

What genre we talkin here? Was it rock, pop, funk, etc.?

And I would say it was pop/funk a lot of these songs sound kinda like it, yet there wasn't a guitar in the song or if it was it was almost like an electronic keyboard/guitar if that makes sense! If anyone wants to go as far as call the Tower of America in San Antonio and see if they can get their playlist you can! Would get extra props haha
