Audiovox 6 Posted April 13, 2008 Well, if not, I can upload it to rapidshare so you can play it. I know it has multi-player capabilities n stuff, but it is an old game. That's one of the great things about it though, it's old enough that you can have 12 player games with each army having over 500 units and still play very smoothly. But it's based on robotish type themes and there are literally hundreds of custom units available n stuff. Great game, great time waister.-Audio

When I was a freshman in highschool my friend burned me a copy of it but I haven't seen it in ages...I haven't even thought about the game in probably 8 years and I would love to reminisce with it. Thanks for reminding me of this classic rts
Audiovox 6 Posted April 13, 2008 I freaking love all the addons available for it. Like I have something called TAUCP (Total Annihilation Units Compilation Pack), its a compilation of over like, 100 custom units and brings in the almighty Krogoth and introduces "Smart" AI along with giant mechs along with all the little smaller ones. I'll post a few screen shots later . but yeah, what I'm uploading is the complete game, Battle tactics and Core contingency included all patches and the mod installed. Should only have to unzip to your C drive and play. If there are issue with that, I can upload the CD's themselves and you can install it manually, but it's an old game, so just dropping it in should work well. Right now it's 60% done being made into a RAR.-Audio

Guest Fohacidal Posted April 13, 2008 I used to own Total Annihilation before It got stolen along with my old pc before I moved.I LOVE THE GAME!!!!!!!Making huge ships, launching nukes, oh gawd did that game take months of my time...Please upload it? Audiovox 6 Posted April 13, 2008 Gladly, perhaps we can get an online game going later lol. I'm trying to screen the Orcone (Beasty ass huge bot for Arm side) There are the reg K-bots, then advanced K-Bots, then the essential Super Weapon K-Bots. The AI whores these and they are your only true hope for survival later on. Having armies of these and waging war is so damn fun and satisfying when you win.-Audio
Audiovox 6 Posted April 13, 2008 Anyone know of a file host website that allows for 1.4 gig transfer? RS would allow it if I had a premium account I think, as well as MegaUpload. Any others?-Audio

How much is a premium account for a month? If 5 people want it, we can split the cost 5 ways I guess
Audiovox 6 Posted April 13, 2008 Well hell, the JCS have a RapidShare account. And keep in mind, it's actually the result of 4 CDs being installed along with a mod and all the patches, so 1.4 isn't that bad.-Audio

I remember the original red alert, which was around the same time, being maybe 100mb of space
projectmayhem9 8 Posted April 13, 2008 You could try putting it on a torrent site.
Guest Fohacidal Posted April 13, 2008 maybe sendspace.com
Audiovox 6 Posted April 13, 2008 Yeah I thought about a torrent, and I think I just tried Send Space. Only allows for 300 mb >< Not sure how to make a torrent file though. It would work well I think.-Audio
Audiovox 6 Posted April 14, 2008 So yeah, uhhh whatever we are going to do needs to get rolling, the RAR is fine and functional and I'm ready for whatever.-Audio
Madmartigan 0 Posted April 14, 2008 isn't there a way to break a file up into smaller ones? I havne't found anything that will let you send over 300mb though
Contract Killer 24 Posted April 14, 2008 Dont bea such ae tight ass bbrother, jujst let it slidew
Audiovox 6 Posted April 14, 2008 Yes, I can make split archives, but I figured 14 files was a bit much to DL from RS. Isn't there a limit to the # of files each day? Oh wait, I may have a solution to that anyways. I'll make the archive just in case anyways.-Audio
Audiovox 6 Posted April 14, 2008 Ok, I've started the RAR again. this one will prolly take longer than the last.-Audio
AnarchyX6942 0 Posted April 14, 2008 I fuckin' love TA. It was seriously the first real computer game I ever played. I still play it every once in a while.

Audiovox 6 Posted April 14, 2008 Ok, so, here are the RS links for the game. I'll give you the CDs rather then the game installed to avoid any possible issues with registry or whatever else may happen. You will need this to play the game. It has the Cd for main skirmish and online play as well as the updates and add on Cd's http://rapidshare.com/files/74598934/total...ation.part1.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/74231505/total...ation.part2.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/74608530/total...ation.part3.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/74615915/total...ation.part4.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/74624129/total...ation.part5.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/74634578/total...ation.part6.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/74253089/total...ation.part7.rarIf you want to play the campaign mode, there are 2 ways of doing that (you need to have the game installed)1- You mount the ISO file or burn the files to a disk (has all the video)http://rapidshare.com/files/78459008/total...paign.part1.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/78468114/total...paign.part2.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/78473086/total...paign.part3.rar2- or you just download the totala4.hpi file, and put it in the TOTALA directory (has no video)http://rapidshare.com/files/78481797/total...ipped.part1.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/78486981/total...ipped.part2.rarHere is a link to the mod I play with (best I've seen, really livens the game up, though I suggest you play the game without the mod in campaign till you get used to the interface n stuff, then it will make more sense to you)http://files.filefront.com/taucp23zip/;728872;/fileinfo.htmlFor skirmish, I suggest you stick to metal maps, it really simplifies the building process because you can build metal extractors in any location. You can change the resolution of the game in the options in skirmish and maybe elsewhere, but I suggest you do not go above 1600x1200, things get ridiculously small >>. That's it for now, any question can be posted here and good luck downloading all that.-Audio
Madmartigan 0 Posted April 14, 2008 I haven't downloaded it yet, but audio, you are a beast...I'll let you know how it runs tomorrow
Guest Fohacidal Posted April 14, 2008 Damn now ill have to wait 190 minutes between each download...GAY
Audiovox 6 Posted April 14, 2008 ><, not much I can do about it. I would make a torrent and upload it to someone that way, but I dunno how to make one and idk if everyone has a torrent program. and thanks Martigan ^^-Audio
