Binds won't save

Has anyone had a problem with getting their binds to save? For some reason, the only binds that stay consistently saved for me are Ultimate, Ability and Changerace.

if you put them in autoexec.cfg in /csgo/cfg they'll save

When I do my !cash command sometimes it doesn't kick in and do it. But it's still there.

Had problems in the past, got a G510 so now I just use macros and alias commands.

You can use autoexec.exe, (Located in ...\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg) if it isn't there create a notepad document titled autoexec, and save it as a .CFG , since it executes at startup, you won't have to worry about your binds clearing.  

 

You may have to add "-exec autoexec" (no quotes) to the launch options located in the game's properties prompt, accessible by right clicking CSGO in your Steam library, however, it should run at startup without this step.

For alias commands, all you have to do is open your console, type in your alias "m4" and it will execute that string automatically

 

If you are going to monkey around in config.cfg, please for the love of sanity, download NotePad++

If you decide against it, you'll have to deal with this:

 

 

NotePad++ will save you that headache

 

 

You will have to add your binds manually to this list, I'm not sure if it matters where. [DO NOT PLACE ANY COMMANDS BEFORE "unbindall"] (follow the format of bind "key" "command" [you can use a semi-colon for multiple commands]: bind "key" "command"; "command"; ...)
