Dyscivist 5686 Posted November 11, 2013 Why do you want a sound card?

Though the £150 tag (220 dollars) may seem a little pricey.Though I'm sure you would be able to pick it up cheaper. ElectronicDrug 7496 Posted November 11, 2013 Why do you want a sound card?I suppose I don't necessarily need one. Just thought it'd be nice to have better quality sound for gamingAnd I'm not looking to spend $200 on a sound card
fps_trucka 1715 Posted November 11, 2013 I have a 4770k and you cannot overclock it. Haswell has built in voltage control on the cpu so, yeah you can technically oc the card but it won't work because you cannot change any of the voltages.

Plenty of people oc 4770k. Looking to get 4.3ghz or so after oc
ElectronicDrug 7496 Posted November 11, 2013 Considering getting something like the kraken x60 aio liquid cooler for cpu

Wintergreen 1603 Posted November 11, 2013 Isn't it more a matter of what you can fit in your case/ want to pay for?
Oreo 2073 Posted November 11, 2013 Not feeling the 780 TI, but that's just me. The 290X from AMD has been matching it in benchmarks even with it's current issues, which AMD is fixing, and that card is $200 less.
_kyle_ 318 Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) The AMD R9 290x is suposed to better than the 780. It's much cheaper too. I was thinking of getting one, and you might want one as well. edit: oreo beat me to it Edited November 11, 2013 by _kyle_
Dyscivist 5686 Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) I suppose I don't necessarily need one. Nah you don't. The 290x might do good on benchmarks but as far as actually getting it to play games...Even with current issues worked out AMD drivers lick the stubbly, sweaty taint of a tranny who hasn't shaved in a week. HurFFiNatEr010 460 Posted November 11, 2013 Currently I am using an H100i, only problem is the damn led that died after like 3 months of having it. Keeps my CPU around 20C but I never overclock. Pretty low noise and it has a 5 year warranty if it ever decides to give out.

Why the fuck would you buy an aftermarket heatsink and then not overclock your processor? 2 jc4x4 and water.exe reacted to this

DogsGoMeow 1606 Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) Ok. Suggestions on which one to get? There was one.. though I can't recall who actually produced it.It was closed loop but could be made semi-custom, its performance was pretty damn good to.I'll copy the link when i find it.Also corsair do good stuff, their warranties are also some of the best around. He said if I'm only going to use it for gaming it's pretty much what I need.
IntoxicatedDog 125 Posted November 11, 2013 You could get a much cheaper motherboard and definitely a liquid cooler if you plan on oc'ing. H100i is good from what I hear.
water.exe 725 Posted November 11, 2013 Can I suggest De-Lidding you 4770K and using liquid metal to straight cooler and forgetting the IHS for even greater temp drops over the standard IHS->Thermal Past->HS setup.
