I have a 4770k and you cannot overclock it. Haswell has built in voltage control on the cpu so, yeah you can technically oc the card but it won't work because you cannot change any of the voltages.

What. You must have a 4770. Plenty of people oc 4770k. Looking to get 4.3ghz or so after oc

No definitely a K, from what i've heard is that some of them come with no voltage regulating and some come with it. Its really a luck game.

Not feeling the 780 TI, but that's just me. The 290X from AMD has been matching it in benchmarks even with it's current issues, which AMD is fixing, and that card is $200 less.

The AMD R9 290x is suposed to better than the 780. It's much cheaper too. I was thinking of getting one, and you might want one as well.

edit: oreo beat me to it :(

I suppose I don't necessarily need one.

Nah you don't.

The 290x might do good on benchmarks but as far as actually getting it to play games...

Even with current issues worked out AMD drivers lick the stubbly, sweaty taint of a tranny who hasn't shaved in a week.

Currently I am using an H100i, only problem is the damn led that died after like 3 months of having it.

Keeps my CPU around 20C but I never overclock. Pretty low noise and it has a 5 year warranty if it ever decides to give out.

Why the fuck would you buy an aftermarket heatsink and then not overclock your processor?

Ok. Suggestions on which one to get?

There was one.. though I can't recall who actually produced it.

It was closed loop but could be made semi-custom, its performance was pretty damn good to.

I'll copy the link when i find it.

Also corsair do good stuff, their warranties are also some of the best around.

Can I suggest De-Lidding you 4770K and using liquid metal to straight cooler and forgetting the IHS for even greater temp drops over the standard IHS->Thermal Past->HS setup.

I need a mobo with at least 4 pcie slots. And probably 10+ sata ports. The more the better.

Not going to delid but I am considering lapping

I'm keeping my old hardware and giving it to my girlfriend or something. Dunno yet
