Who uses pro tools or any other programs to make music?

Anyone make music using protools or other software im bout to torrent pro tools 10 becasue my buddy uses it and he knows the basics looking for some help with creating music

I "bought" Fruity loops just a few days ago since I lost It when I got a new computer, I'm not good at all with It, but It's a really nice program. I've never heard of protools though.

people say pro tools u can just do most things as other programs but its in an easy format, but thats only talking if you used other programs before because i look at it n am clueless

If you're recording live music, Pro Tools is great. If you're working with sampled midi, I prefer Cubase.

 

Apparently Pro Tools has 64 bit now so you can use up more RAM when sampling but I still prefer Cubase's interface. It's easier to use IMO.

I have used FL Studio, and with a few plugins it's quite versatile in what it can do.

 

I have heard a lot of good things about Cubase, but never actually used it.

 

 

Either way, youtube has a lot of good tutorials on basically anything, so go with what ever you think you will like more, or "try before you buy" a variety before you stick with just one.

It largely depends what type of music you want to make.

 

I'd definitely try out Pro Tools if you're working with live instruments though.
