IMO, good decision. Still leaves gay marriage up to states but prevents the federal government from keeping them from having the same rights as heterosexual marriages. If the rights also extend to unions then this will be a very solid and hard to overturn decision.

It's a shame states still have the right to uphold such blatant discrimination, but this is a step in the right direction.
Also suck that provisions of the VRA were struck down yesterday.
