Marine 2580 Posted June 7, 2013 (edited) This is for any sG member who really has considered losing weight, because it's very possible, and just about anyone can overcome. This is a pretty long thread, and really is made to try and help at least one or two members. I started at about 300lbs~ back in December of 2010, which is sadly, me in these three pictures when I was at my worst, literally the day before I started losing weight. I wore sweaters to try and hide the excess amount of fat on me. I was constantly in denial about how large I was, trying to tell myself that it "wasn't that bad" when in reality, as you all can tell, I was very large. I kept gaining weight constantly, because I was never really addressing the issue. It's sickening looking back at these. These two pictures below were about half a year after starting to work out(So June 2011). I had lost about 30lbs or so at this point, although it wasn't much muscle gain, just mainly fat that melted away. I was at about 275ish at this point At this point I was at about 265, but still no muscle gain 250-255 or so, with muscle gain from a job, in April 2012. Then after listening to the advice of Zachmanman and Shadow with weights, and utilizing what I could with their advice(Back at about Feb 2013), I was able to build my muscles up which really added to getting over my plateau of weight loss that I'd experience every now and then. Now these pictures are the results of years of progress, and what just about anyone could do with a little motivation. 234~lbs 222~lbs at 6'0 as of this picture on June 3rd, 2013. I know some people go around thinking, "I could never lose weight...not me...there's no way" but trust me, it's hard at first, but once you start having people ask if you've lost weight every few months, then your motivation will just sore from there. I posted a couple of weight change threads on this forum before, so I figured I'd give the last one with starting and ending results, as there were a lot of people who gave me advice and helped me for losing weight with the little things, definitely a big thanks to Zachmanman and Shadow for the weight advice, a thanks to Archy, Mitch, Cows, and a few others I know that I'm forgetting(Sorry, tired) but hopefully some other sG members will take it upon themselves to find the motivation to the lose weight, because it is one of the largest accomplishments I've done in life, and although I still have another 20lbs or so that I'm going to lose, I'm at the point where I've met my original goal, and I'd love to see others on here transition in the same way. So just remember, anyone can do it. Edited June 7, 2013 by Marine 32 Shadow, Super Novacaine, Spell and 29 others reacted to this

I didn't mean it exactly like that, assuming you're semi-serious in the response. Do you have droopy skin now or is that not really an issue? What Skotti replied with. The biggest problem I have/had is walking normal again, with getting use to walking without so much weight on my knees.Probably not since he lost it over the course of 3 years.This. 1 Archy reacted to this

If anyone ever needs weight loss or weight gaining advice PM me. It certainly is good for a career later on, but personally it's just not what I'd like to do in life. I really wanted Cav Scout or Tanker, because I've always had a fascination with armor, and as stupid as it sounds, I just wanted a field job for my enlistment(Or career if it's made into one) Yeah, the advice of adding weights into the mix really threw my body into a completely different state. I was burning a hell of a lot faster, and my workouts were impacting me more again. Also, I remember you said you were going 11x after college, are you still doing that?
