I had no problems with the controls. Not sure what you are talking about.

Keyboard and mouse is doable, but convoluted the further you get in the game. It's a lot of silly combos for niche cases, and it's pretty clear the game was designed with a controller in mind.

once you get tons of gear, it would be easier to use a controller. Ill have to try it out.
