Eddy 3887 Posted November 22, 2012 Okay so i am not very knowledgeable when it comes to computers, i mean i pretty much know where everything goes in a pc but don't ask me anymore....anyway right now my PC has 8 GB of ram and i would like to get more, but i dont know if there is something else i would need to get.... basically what i am asking is if I pick up 4 sticks of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489... will i have any problemsMight seem like a stupid question and i am pretty sure i can add ram without having to upgrade anything else but I thought I might aswell make sure. any help would be appreciatedThanks 1 1 MOFLSTOMP and Velo reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

MOFLSTOMP 899 Posted November 22, 2012 Barring the fact that your link is messed up (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489) you need to figure out if your motherboard not only supports 8GB DIMMs, but if it can use that much RAM. Also, what generation of DDR it uses, DIMMs supported by your motherboard, and correct voltages.
