Tekkit Server

Hey everyone,

So I know quite a few of you have been asking for a tekkit server.

As some people may know, and others may not, Klark and I have been in talks with SwiftIRC's minecraft team.

They are trying to diversify into minecraft, and we have agreed to partner with them, so that we all can benefit.

Minecraft takes a lot of RAM, along with a big Disk IO usage. With this partnership we can now have multiple servers up, have a larger player base, and be able to do more events and other fun things, with less lag.

While we finish up the sGRPG server, swiftIRC has a tekkit server up and running that you can play on!

Here is a link to the tekkit/technic site, so you can download the launcher if you don't have it already: http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/

If you would like to join the tekkit server, you can join via "tekkit.swiftirc.net"

Please note that the server is whitelisted for the sole reason that you can easily blow the whole world up with some of the mods on tekkit.

So they hope to keep most of the griefers out by keeping it this way. This is similar to the way we Citizen people before they can build.

You can get white listed by one of two ways:

Using IRC: join the #SwiftIRC-MC channel (soon to merge with the channel we use (#minecraft)). Once there you can request whitelisting, and a moderator will be happy to help you.

For both of these ways put that you are joining from sG, and you should have no issues getting whitelisted.

As for sGRPG I have working out a couple plugin conflicts currently, but things are looking quite good.
