adam :) 12 Posted July 30, 2010 Well title say's all. I installed a new graph card and lost 54GB of important work files I needed. Don't ask how that happened but it completely demolished my current computer. So now I can barely play css. My price range is about $4,000 I know that's a fair bit but I've been saving it up for a while.I'll prefer a computer with a good graph card, Memory etc etc to play games that need good memory and graph cards.Considering my computer is SHIT anyways, I can barely play css on high detail =.=Thanks guys. Pebbz. 953 Posted July 30, 2010 Do not spend $4000 on a computer. Oh wait, you're Australian. So what, you got like 200 USD?
adam :) 12 Posted July 30, 2010 I need a good computer for working files. I can have up to 20GB of files from work.So I need a computer that will last and not fuck up.Plus I need a computer that can handle the program I use for office duty's at the barracks. It takes up allot of memory. About 50mb each person I add into the system.& What are you trying to point out? Gonna start trolling Me? Ha ha.$4,000 AUD is $3,616 USD. centran 4457 Posted July 30, 2010 Normally those onboard RAID controllers are slower. You could add another $340 onto that for a RAID controller card that has it's on built in memoryhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816116042However, I am not really an expert on RAID. It probably doesn't matter for the things you are doing just as long as you have the drives mirrored somehow.
TURKISH RAMBO 9 Posted July 30, 2010 he wouldnt need that one, he would need one about half the cost of that one. That one is really made for SSD's so you wont lose performance on them

teh lolz 0 Posted August 14, 2010 make sure you get a good processor, and ram obviously, but for ram i think 4gb or higher would be fine, and processor try anything above 3.0 duo core. NVIDIA 8400 or higher will be fine for a graphics card =] those are just A FEW basics but that will start you out well..
