and what's with you guys and pick up trucks? not saying they're bad or anything, but a lot of you have pick ups.

Well I hunt first of all. Try getting a car back to where I hunt, good luck. I also mow lawns a and use a snow blower in the winter for driveways, so I need to haul and tow things. Plus, my mom would not let me get a car with a V8, otherwise I might have a trans am or cobra, she still thinks my truck has too much power, which it probably does.

My dad likes trucks, so he got me a truck of course.

It's my first car, I don't really care, but it's a nice truck nonetheless.

I actually want to get an upgrade of my truck. Silverado or Avalanche.

Pussy magnet. I think that the reason why they have pick up trucks is that they are more safer than let say cabriolet or universals. When you are going to crash with pick up truck then you are safe .

Do get a silverado, you will be pleased. What's your projected price range, because I suggest a A 1500 ext cab Z71(2003 to new) with the 5.3l or the 2500HD 6.0l(2001 to new). I love mine.

The 2500HD is the same size as a 1500, except a bigger frame, brakes, hood, engine, that stuff, otherwise the body is the same length.

What year are you looking at? I need specs. Z71? Ext cab? Leather? All that.

I priced out an 2006 With the newer 5.3l L33 engine, Z71, leather, all the nice things, with the short bed (There are 2 sizes of short bed, I gave it the 5 3/4', the other is 6 1/2')

Only $18,660, which is a hella good price I think.

The 2500 in general is all around bigger than the 1500. The HD (heavy duty) status is a declaration of the enhancements to their driveline. The 1500HD has the 3/4 ton (2500) rear end, while the 2500HD and 3500HD have lower gear ratios and stronger drivetrain parts. All of the heavy duty trucks have stiffer frames and suspension setups.
