Applying to Syndicate Gaming

Introduction

If you are reading this thread, your one step closer into joining Syndicate Gamers Community. Please read the following thread carefully as it is essential you follow all the detailed guidelines we give regarding our recruitment process. It is a long process to get into Syndicate Gaming, but it could be well worth it.

Pre-Requisites

Requirements needed before making your application to sG are:


  • Be registered on the forums for at least TWO weeks.
  • Have 50 (preferrably quality and non-spam) posts on the forums.
  • Have either TWO referrals from a L3, L4 or L5 member or have ONE referral from a staff member.
  • Have a total of 24 hours of playtime on sG servers. You can check this by going to HLSTATSx and checking how much playtime you have logged.

If you do not meet these requirements when you make your application, it will be denied immediately. Please meet them all BEFORE you apply to make the process easier on you and us.

Recruitment Process

After meeting the pre-requisites, you can now be able to make a thread to apply for sG. When making your thread, be sure to use the template below, as it helps us out a lot by being able to push your application down the process faster.

Screenings

Once you have made your thread an advisor will soon promptly post a message asking you to contact one of the clan's advisors for a screening. A screening is simply a series of questions which you answer to the best of your ability. To get a screening, just add the following list of advisors on xFire, and message them asking for a screening.

If you are unable for some reason to receive a screening via XFire, please contact the advisors above via Private Messaging on the forums. In your PM, please create a subject with something like "Screening for Your Name" and answer these questions in the message body.

Question 1: If there was a microphone spammer on the server, how would you deal with it?

Question 2: In the case of a hacker on the server you are in, what procedure would you follow?

Question 3: In the situation that you are being bombarded with people asking if they can join the clan, what would you tell them to do?

Question 4: Would you consider yourself a mature person? If so, why?

Question 5: Why is it that you want to join the sG community?

Question 6: Do you fully agree with the terms and conditions specified in the recruitment thread?

Question 7: On average, how often will you play on the sG servers and how often will you be on the forums?

Question 8: How do you think you can be an addition to our growing community? What makes you unique from the other recruits?

Question 9: Would you contribute to discussions made within sG and keep the topics civil?

Question 10: Have you ever been a member in sG before or tried to become one? If so, why did you leave/get denied

Voting Period

After your screening, you will go through a positive/negative vote from the managers and advisors of the clan. You need to receive a positive count of +4 to be accepted into the clan. (A Yes from a staff member = +1, A No from a staff member = -1, An Abstain from a staff member = 0). DO NOT WEAR YOUR sGr TAGS BEFORE THIS VOTE IS PASSED.

After you pass the first staff vote, you will wear sGr tags in game (in front of your name). Your application thread will be moved to the Pending Recruits forum and your username will change colors to reflect those of recruits, after this has completed, you will go into a two week observation period where the whole community will watch you and either vote positively on your application or negatively based on their opinion and whether they want you int he clan or not. You need +15 to be accepted into the clan instantly after the two week period, and a -15 gets your application denied instantly after the two week period.

If you are unable to reach the +15 or -15 count, you go back into a staff vote and you need +6 to get into the clan. Any short of that will get your application denied and you will have to apply again in two weeks.

Welcome back Baz. UNFORTUNATELY, you do have to go through the whole shabang again.

If you get reaccepted though, you become an L3 (You used to be the OLD L2, 6 months in clan, that's the new L3).

I'll refer you, and you don't have to go through a rescreening (already did in your original app).

Yes, and if you look through some of my recent posts, i dont flame or instigate fights, im just there to put in my 2 cents on some important topics (and some not so important ones in the process :P.

First off, make sure you're well versed in reporting Abusive Players (ex. Mic Spammers, Admins, Hackers etc...)

• Have two referrals from L3s or higher. (Or 1 staff referral).

• Have to have at least 2 week of forum time and 50 posts

After doing so you will be ready to move on.

The first phase of recruitment requires that you be screened by an Advisor so that higher staff can vote on your application to be accepted into the two week observation period.

In order to do so, you will need to add one of the following and ask them (if available and willing) to screen you.

Please add your "in-game name" and "Preferred Server" in the add friend comment, as to avoid confusion. This is not necessary, but highly, highly appreciated.

After doing so, your answers will be posted here and the staff will vote on your application. After attaining 4 yes votes, you will be initiated in phase two of the recruitment process: the observation period.

Failure to complete the screening will result in a denied application.

Check back often, as updates, comments and suggestions will be made throughout the recruitment process.

Congratulations!

You have the minimum number of required votes to move onto the next step in the sG recruitment process, the two week observation period.

This thread will be moved to pending recruits now. After two weeks you will have to bump your application to be re-voted on. There will now be a poll attached to your thread, players who have interacted with you will vote yes or no on your entry into sG. If you get 15 votes one way or another, you will be automatically accepted or denied. Only votes from sG Members will count towards the required 15. Even staff votes do not count in the poll. If you do not obtain this, it will take 8 staff votes to be accepted into the clan.

Stay active, maintain maturity, post on the forums when possible, and be patient.

Please add "sGr |" (without quotes) to your in-game and Xfire name. If you are not wearing the tags, your application to join the clan may be denied.

Adding the following to your Xfire contacts will be beneficial in the future for questions or comments you may have. Feel free to contact any one of us provided we are available.
