FlyingPolish 0 Posted February 1, 2010 Kobe is not MVP material this year. His team is way to rich in stars that he is not really carrying his team or making them better. Kobe can go down, and the Lakers will still prosper. Kevin Durant and Steve Nash would have been excellent candidates, but The Thunder need to make up some ground in the standings, and the Suns need to find their rhythm that they lost early. Billups would be a top candidate because he has proven that the Nuggets are his team, not Melo's. When Billups went down, Melo could not pick up the slack and the Nuggets dropped in standings. When Melo dropped, Billups continued grabbings those Ws and Denver is a power house. As much as I hate Lebron James, his number are impressive. Those that say he is a ball hog, well how about this. Lebron is averaging 8.0 assists per game, he is 6th in the league in assists and gets more than point guards like Billups and Baron Davis. He is averaging more assists this season than his MVP season. Lebron is still one of the favorites to win the MVP.If the season continue like this, than my two votes for MVP candidates would go to Billups and Lebron.yeah unlike lebron. the ballhog and 1 man teamKobe is averaging 4.8 assists per game. Lebron is averaging 8.0..........
Elmo 1272 Posted February 1, 2010 lebron does it for the stats
FlyingPolish 0 Posted February 1, 2010 Stats are what make an MVP candidate. Sure an MVP candidate motivates their team aswell, but if you don't have the stats to back it up, then what good are you. The Cavs proved before they had Lebron that there was nobody that could motivate the team enough to win. It still remains to be the case, Shaq is not a motivational speaker, Mo Williams doesn't know where he is half the time, and Parker can't do anything but spin and shoot. All the motivation for the Cavs comes from Lebron. On the Lakers there are plenty of veteran forces that can speak a good word. Fisher is probably one of the best, if not the best at motivating that team. Even though Lebron might do it for the stats, he makes his team better. That's why he's an MVP favorite.
