Jason 786 Posted October 14, 2009 So as you may have noticed, the servers and forums have been behaving like shit over the past few days, and it's become a huge pain in the ass.I've got some good news on both situations however First things first:ServersThanks to the linux-wiz Crothers, who has offered to fix the kernel issues we'd been having lately, the kernel of the dedicated server box has been completely redone, and thus far the lag we'd been experiencing has been drastically reduced!Also, on the server reconstruction. I've been slowly working through and building a sourcemod base for the servers, but I may only get two or three servers done before the end of the month: Surf, WCS2, and either BHop or Jailbreak.Final note here: If you find yourself without admin it is because we have no active subscription/payment from you. You can resubscribe here, or message a Manager on xFire if you think this was done by mistake.ForumsAnother thing you might have noticed is the forums acting up, security token that, wrong topic this. I've rebuilt the forums database, optimized this and that, corrected (hopefully) some of the issues with the templates, and a few other things. If all else fails, I'll reinstall the forums from scratch next weekend and just transfer the old database over. Either way, I'll be upgrading vBulletin on Thursday night, around 10 PM Pacific Time.That about sums it up, sorry for the downtime, but it's for the better FYI: Chaos is looking for a template design for her new pornography site! UnknownLegend 5480 Posted October 14, 2009 Nice job with the servers and forums, we're fortunate Crothers was willing to polish the kernel and taught you how to do it in the future.Just a side note-- we need to go through the forums now and remove everyone who isn't an admin from the admin forum groups.
