New computer halp :)

Recommended Posts

Yeah, so im lookin for a new Mobo, CPU, ram(8 gigs) and video card to upgrade to. I'm gonna try and upgrade when win7 comes out so i can install it with the new shit. I dont really want to spend more than 500 dollars but id go a little higher if i had to.

If someone can search and find me some compatible shit, i would love you and give u an oreo cookie (the Halloween ones with the orange cream !!)

6 GB would be more than exceptional

and 500w is probably a little low if you want a high quality gaming computer and plan on OC'ing your CPU

If you want to be a little expensive, I don't suggest getting no more than 4GB of RAM. Windows 7 will not recognize 8 GB even in x64 it only recognized 3.2GB of RAM on me and 2.56GB was physical ram, rest was all virtual ram. I have 4GB of RAM and it recognizes it yes, but wont' use all of it.

Now for motherboard and CPU this is a great one.

RAM buy 2 of these

Video Card :D

too bad this is 518.96 total without including where it needs to ship to. But this will be a good set to go with. (oh yeah rebates end tomorrow so if you want it at that price, tomorrow is it.)

All good besides the RAM, that RAM won't work with the P5N-D.

P5N-D supports 800, not 1200.

So I would look at getting this RAM for a replacement.

As for that CPU, later on you may want to look into getting a non-factory Heatsink; something along the lines of.

Thats the ram i have! but since he only has 500w psu, hes not going to be doing any overclocking, which is why i didn't put a heatsink down.

No way, me too!

True that, forgot he only had a 500W PSU; either way its always nice to have a heatsink. :P
