Zune Software

Recommended Posts

Zune Software tells me that in my collection all my artists are there, but when I sync to my Zune, I get songs that are still in "Unknown Artist"

My artist and album artists fields match for every song I have.

I've also used Microsoft's Collection Reset Tool.

I've googled for about 2 hours on this now, and no luck.

I thought maybe someone here had a fix for this?

Check both album artists and artists. I've had this problem before too.

If that doesn't work, you could always use zAlternator.

I tried that, like I already stated.

I used Mp3tag and made sure everything matched.

I didn't know if you checked both artist fields. That stupid thing screwed me up more than once.

Yeah, I filled in "Artist" and "Album Artist" with the same things.

The Zune reads it as "Unknown" but the Software doesn't.

The funny thing is when I play one of the songs, the Artist comes up.

Maybe it's because I don't have anything filled in for the album name?

I'd add an album name. It might be glitching the way the firmware reads the tags. But that's just a guess.

Guest some fag

I've had similar problems... I just deleted it from my Zune Library, though, named it properly in Windows Media Player, and then put it back into Zune, and that usually fixed the problem.
