Not really. It's simply for the money- I don't disagree with it- if you need the money, then do what you have to, but don't try to play it off as something it's not.

Oreo has it exactly right here. Although I wasn't privy to the decision-making process, I agree with its result. Seriously, does the 18+ forum contribute anything? No, it is most notable for freaky-sexually-themed-videos or pictures. If you are that desperate for porn, use Google. As for limitations on profanity, eh. I will still be using profanity where I feel it's appropriate, but for anyone who likes to make every third word profane, SUCKS 2 BE U.

Torrents though, foul ball. I don't really pirate games or music anymore but I oppose the fascist anti-piracy policy on principle. It's what's causing a lot of YouTube's videos to become silent-picture films, it's why annoying and intrusive software gets developed (DRM, anyone?) and faaaaah. If it's necessary for Google-ads, then ok. But I still don't like it.

On a side note, let me direct you to a forum that has racism/pornography/torrent promotion and the likes.... they have Google ads in 2 spaces that are very prominent. At the top of their page right below their logo, and below the first post of every thread.

Quick example.... clicky That's one of the soft pictures, since we have to be "PG13" now.

My point being, they are worse compared to us, in terms of... everything, yet Google gave them 2 ad blocks.

There was a time when we didn't have a "FFA" or "18+ Only" and the forums were fine. People weren't posting pornographic images and profanity wasn't a huge problem.

The staff meeting tonight was a huge success.

This was a triumph. I'm making a note here, huge success. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction. Undead Vengeance, we do what we must, because we can. For the good of all the nerds, except the ones who all left. Now there's no use crying over every mistake, we just keep on trying till P2 runs out and buys a car with clan funds. Now the science gets done, and we don't make any neat guns, for the people who are still alive.
