"Holograms"

Recommended Posts

Now all we need is some bitch dressed up as Princess Leia to say:

"General Kenobi: Years ago, you served my father in the Clone Wars; now he begs you to help him in his struggle against the Empire. I regret that I am unable to present my father's request to you in person; but my ship has fallen under attack and I'm afraid my mission to bring you to Alderaan has failed. I've placed information vital to the survival of the rebellion into the memory systems of this R2 unit. My father will know how to retrieve it. You must see this droid safely delivered to him on Alderaan. This is our most desperate hour. Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're my only hope."

I was really impressed with the holograms on CNN. And yes, they are real.

It is just 2 seperate cameras filming from a green screen at different angles and digitally added onto the cnn feed. It is basically a step above a tv weatherman.

BTW: The glow is just bullshit.

Of course it isnt real, do you guys fail to notice how it only ever shows one perspective of the guy at any given time, and never fully rotates to show 2 different perspectives in one camera (shot)

That, and Id think Id be a little more amazed if a hologram popped in front of me, that guy was totally acting it.

However hologram technology does exist

I watched it live, and there were several viewpoints shown throughout the night as well as panning shots. I wasn't there so maybe it was added in digitally but they still did a heck of a job at that.
