I agree. And yes P2 did become a lazy bastard after a while. But he was the reason we even got this far in the first place. But yes, the funds could go to a better cause. Unfortunately, the clan leaders are too busy contemplating how awesome they are as staff members to listen to us. I think you and I have a better idea of how things should go than just about everyone. The real thing missing here is the way I used to be. I may have been a prick sometimes, but all my actions were with the clan in mind. Nobody seems to believe me or actually want to listen to me. So I've become indifferent. I wish I could still care but it upsets me too much to see how disrespectful and douchebaggish the leaders are to me now. They act like I have no idea what I'm talking about. If some of the leaders actually listened to what I was saying instead of constantly trying to bash me because I'm a hardass, they would probably make some progress. I understand this completely. I don't like how everyone is on the same level. It's turned staff into too much of a whiney beaurocracy. That is the only reason I have turned down offers to return to staff-- If I were to come back, I would want to go back to the JCS/ Advisor system, with 4 active JCS doing the brunt of the server work/ making larger decisions, have 4 alternate Advisors ready to step in if a JCS goes AWOL for 3+ days without notice, or during a vacation, and to have Advisors managing recruitment/CD/most forum related moderation.

That's exactly what I have been trying to say. I know you are an adult and this is why I believe you understand that this works. We had a great system before and like you said, now we have too much bureaucracy. As much as I hate to say it, P2 did a much better job of growing the clan and promoting our servers. I do know why. He was selfish and had self interest in mind, but guess what, it worked. He had a reason to go out to people he barely knew and recruit them and make connections with server operators. The people now don't have the same kind of motivation. This is one of the reasons I DIDN'T warn lots of people about his skimming clan funds. Because technically, we were paying for his efforts. I felt like I was the only one who could understand his position. Maybe he was a fat lazy pizza eater, but, that fat lazy pizza eater grew the clan to the strongest and most prosperous it's ever been. For some reason, people don't want to accept this. They just bash him for taking the clans funds, even though every server was taken care of with the best updates, leadership, coders, admins, and managers we have ever had in this clans existence. Once people realize this maybe the clan will grow like it was before.

Assuming that's the case, why does this matter? Staff needs to work as a team; the departments were created to make management easier-- i.e., these people are RESPONSIBLE for Affairs, but that's not to say other staff members can't help out. If we were to have a general "staff" model with no specifications, then it would be a huge clusterfuck.

The fact is, shit has not changed as far as management goes. The model is piss poor because only half of the staff actually does work. You and I both know how this has happened in the past. For instance, P2, you, Oreo and myself were basically the only ones doing things for a good while even though we had about 6 or 10 other members of staff. They were just MIA all the time. In my opinion, there needs to be an ultimate power. Without that, the redundancy and bullshit gets out of control. You need someone that in one minute can make a decision and actually live with that decision, good or bad. Unfortunately, most of the people don't understand that the internet is not a democracy. Doesn't anyone understand that I think this way because of the military?

Seriously though, Zeus was told in no uncertain terms that when we unbanned him, he would be on thin ice, and there would be no fuck-ups. That is an agreement made by core staff at the time, and I think those remaining on staff who made that agreement with him have the right to hold him to that agreement. Affairs staff took care of the infractions, and Mario took the 1 day ban that resulted from a total of four infractions as a violation of the agreement Zeus made when he was unbanned.

Yeah but you changed the core files which effects how bash works. All the values are don't work as well as they used to because the chances fire like they were supposed to and not how they actually worked.

the whole idea of the race whoring rule when I created it, was to keep things fair and fun for everyone. It was never intended to be scrutinized so much. It was supposed to keep it fun for everyone. The rule was enforceable at that time. But now nobody runs anything, and everyone is trying to do nothing.

Well for lower levels C&P is fine. I just need some stuff that will keep people happy and refreshed while a friend and I reconstruct WCS to be ~30-100 times faster. I prefer to work in core of WCS because people don't cry about it being overpowered xD

See, Yiyas, this is the problem. Core files only effect the smoothness of gameplay and don't really effect the actual races themselves. If you neglect that part of WCS, it will only get more out of control and less and less fun.

What I don't understand is how you guys are missing the point that makes zombie so op. The people behind him. Sure 1 zombie is ok, but when you have 2 of them rushing with the team behind them, you can't just switch to judge and kill the zombie, the players behind him will rape you before you get a chance. If its one on one, ya a zombie isn't that hard and there are plenty of ways to counter it. When teams are stacked and you have a zombie leading half of the other team behind it, two came become a little too much.

Disagreed. Zombie is not fine. It was created by POLIS who intended to use it for his own server. It was not designed to be used in a balanced WCS environment.

I'd be fine with just 1 zombie per team, no nerf to the class.

See the problem with the current state of affairs with sG is that all the leaders are too busy fingering each others assholes to actually get things done. You want to put everything to a vote, try to keep things balanced among the leaders and you guys just don't realize that children and teenagers are typically incapable of making good decisions. On top of that, you are all trying to participate, which is called redundancy, and you all are too fuckin gun shy to actually grow some balls and lay down the law. The clan will continue to suffer because of this and nothing will really be fun for everyone and most of the new interest will get quashed by people like Cass who are too selfish to give a shit about anyone else but themselves. For those of you who understand efficiency, fun, and fair play, I apologize. But most of you leaders don't. And like I said, most of you are all too busy with your heads up your asses trying to prove shit to one another to actually make shit happen. If you were aware of it at the time, you had half a map to say something about it, since there was a vote made and you said NOTHING for the rest of the map. then after the vote for the map came up, you again did nothing.

Then when we connect to the new map, you bitch your head off when you could have done something BEFORE it happened to prevent it. If anything, you are just as guilty since you didn't do anything and had plenty of oppurtunity to do so.

As of today, I quit server 1. I will decline to play with friends on this server even for fun.

I felt inclined to level on server 2 but on here the feeling is lackluster, the whoring and inbalance situation at the moment is retarded and because of that it's hard to have fun on here while the whole server 1 community is in an uproar over everything.

LOL, I was playing on server 1 lastnight and I moved 3 players around on office because it was 10 - 0 T's. Everyone was bitching so I did what I thought was needed to fix teams. The score then went 12-4 and everyone on T's raged and said I stacked teams the other way. (I switched myself back and forth 3 times). Over all the people that play on that server rage over every little thing. If some of them are not winning 100% of the time they bitch. I don’t understand why you cannot stand to loose a round or two? Stats are not that important. People where then bitching because I was such a low level I was taking too many points from them when I killed them. They where raging YOU TOOK 24 POINTS FROM ME ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Cass you win, the server and people on it suck. Cant fix people that want to stack. I can only move them so many times before they loose a round or two, sit in spec, and wait to get on the winning team again. I spent most of my time trying to make people happy, not fun.

Noire, there were a LOT of people who had admin that shouldn't have had it/were at different ranks. I think klark told me there were about 75+ with a higher admin or some kind of admin they shouldn't have had.

Well, not gonna lie that staff in the past HAS done some shifty stuff. I'd be lying if I said otherwise. But when I say "dealt with", it means that his punishment before, namely HLXstats reset was done. Why I said it was pointless is that Cass is basically back to 16k+ points already, so it didn't do a whole lot IMO. Unless you're somehow going to go and break his hands off his arms, I don't think a reset of levels will do a whole lot in the long run outside of slow him down, as he said.

The argument with the "What will low levels do" doesn't make much sense though. Do you want us to reset every person with high levels so every new person can match up? It can't happen. They can catch up and learn like everyone eventually does, through practice and a bit of help with money. It's how I and a few others did it. We aren't good or great, but we enjoy playing when we do.

Not like a high level = too much difference past the max level. If the person is just naturally good, that can't be helped.

See this whole thought process is where you are wrong. The community is flat because of these misunderstandings. Even tho you are staff, you do not know Cass's history. Same with Zeus, and others. I am cool with most all of the old members. The new members just never got to see me in the server, balancing things, giving levels to new players, helping people get interested in the clan. I know people can vouche for me on that. I'm sure TimeToDie got a few goodies from me. Also others in this thread. But I did bash on people by setting examples, and creating a better environment for people getting started.

Kemper, you really are a new person here who has no clue about the history of UV and sG. You need to find out more about Cass's and other players histories before you jump to conclusions.

How has it been dealt with? I talked to yiyas today and it seems his commands to reset stuff isn’t working, someone broke something. Nothing has been done, like normal. Staff always talks a big game and does nothing. I’m not going to respond to this thread anymore. If 5 or 6 level 5's have a problem with him LISTEN. Don’t take the side of the accused and the level 1's that are on his side to gain favor since he pretty much runs the server since he lives on it. This has been a problem for along time, hes already been perma banned which was lifted from him being butt buddys with the staff. Its easy to lie and get around things in this clan. No one believes anything, you should take the word of the higher levels, we have been here/seen way more than anyone. And if we all have a problem with him, then there is a reason. It not like we are blowing hot air for no reason. Im sick of it. I give up. You win once again Cass, whats new. Same thing with Zeus, he was perma banned and butt buddied up with the staff and now look at him. Its all a big joke.

And cass dont say I dont know anything because I dont play on server 1 as much as you do. I quit playing on there because of players like you, that like to teamstack/whore races and menu items. I lost all my levels on that server, and everytime I try to level a race I get owned by players with level 145 races. And I think im pretty good at WCS, if I cant level and quit, what do you think people that are new to WCS are going to do?

I disagree with your assessment Cass. sG is about 1/5th as popular as UV was. Whether you realize it or not, people who come in game that are new players do quit because of you. The other day I was on when five people quit just because you were joining up. There are so many things about you that puts you on the shit list. You are too arrogant and selfish to understand that other people like to have fun too. I'm afraid Noire is right, you would have never joined the clan or the forums if we had not reset your levels and banned you. The only reason you wanted to get in the clan was to gain immunity from that. When I was around it didn't happen. Now you are taking advantage of new staff members that have no clue on how to build a consitant, growing community. On top of that, I have not seen one admin do anything to hold anyone accountable for breaking said rules. The redundancy of the new system is why sG will continue to fizzle and never really thrive unless serious changes are made to the structure of things.

Time you are exactly right. This is how you build a WCS community. By having fun and not just owning everyone. You give other players a chance to level their shit so that we can draw in more interest which = more usage and ends up =ing more cash for the community.
