ok, i put a link to the HD (check above)i have in my first post, its a 640gb drive, and i do have a 500gb HD that does a Full format in 2-3 hours, which is what leads me to think this isnt the norm. I am running the Full format, but i think its a Damaged drive and will be RMA-ing it come Monday, since both the Full and Quick Format failed stating corrupted HDD sectors.

And now my Mobo wont even recognize that the HDD is plugged into it.

My comp runs at 80C idle and 86C high when I do stuff with it. Im ok with it though for its not dead.

Edit- I just checked my comp and amazingly its at 60C which is the lowest I've ever seen it lol.

Jesus dude, 80C? what are the specs of that? My desktop idled at 36C with basic cooling (3-4 Fans)

So i bought a new hard drive and i am currently formatting it in prep for windows, but the problem is that it is going at 2% or less an HOUR. I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with it but idk for sure, and the FAQ on WD's site is lacking in the subject, so is google. Anyone know what might be up?

I had this problem before, just deactivate your mouse pad, and plug in a external mouse. It solves all your problems.

i am using an external mouse, just keep on forgeting to turn off the pad.

in my case a LOT of getting used to since my desktop is crap now, and I'm using my laptop.
