Alright. I just would like to get a feel for how everyone else is taking this "update."

How i feel;

- The guns "spray" is very different.

- The guns "feel" is very different as it shoots.

- The guns movement as you fire is different.

- The registry is way off.

- A mix of lag and registry issues causing those corner shots/Instant turn around shots/ pop out of no where shots to not register at all, and as far as anyone knows you didnt even fire.

- Movement is also different. Jumping and doing a quick turn around corners or down objects.

All in all i find this update horrid. I cant beleave the difference its night and day. Now "supposedly" they never changed anything with the shooting. I can clearly tell the difference, many others can as well, but i want to hear from you guys.

Cant change a games engine and expect it to act exactly the same way, so why are they saying it should?

Contested. I will happily argue that beating and imprisoning a child is not a relevant or useful analogy for banning a player for 30 minutes.

EDIT - I think a more appropriate analogy would be a child playing on a playground with other children. The child then begins to perform actions that are likely to damage the playground and/or hurt the other children. At this point a parent tells the child to stop and is ignored, so he puts the child in time-out for 30 minutes. The child then whines continuously for the thirty minutes.

I am not taking sides on this as i beleave both ends were in the wrong. I just have to say something because many admins go straight to the ban instead of using other tools first. A kick would have served the purpose and he wouldnt be here argueing about this. Now if he came back and still did it, then now you have the reason to ban and then he wouldnt of had an arguement.

The difference between both these actions, kick / ban, even though they both address the situations they have different outcomes. The kick would have solved the problem and at the same time would have given you the "right away" and option to then ban if it continued. A bans outcome may have solved the situation but because of this he has claim that you werent doing your job properly in that a kick was needed before a ban, in that there are more tools then just ban for admins. So for going for the ban instead of a kick first he does have "wiggle room" to complain and want it off its record. This leads into the next problem : It goes on his record. He was punished for a ban which will go on his record, when all that was needed to have been used was a kick.

Again i am taking no sides in this situation i just needed to address the problem i see in this and your actions. Yes he should have stoped when you asked him to. At the same time you as an admin have rules to follow and the next step would have been a kick instead of going straight to a ban.

If i had to make an outcome for this? I would say remove the ban off his record as it was overkill to the situation, but have no punishment on the admin who was trying to do his job, instead for the admin to just remember he has other tools instead of ban.

Reading all this is making me want to reinstall css and clear the server again.

Off topicness is offtopic, but ATG if you are leaving as soon as you hit the 4:1 ratio, if an admin holds you to the racewhoring rule, or punishes you for evading it, it's legit. No reason to be leaving to reset your kills.

As to the demos, Rock, they are showing up and unavailable. Can you reload them and send me a PM of them?

I dont leave to reset my kills, i used to leave so i didnt have to suicide myself and rejoined to a non max race. That was until i found out that the suicides didnt effect HL stats. So in no way was i even evading, even when i did leave the server to rejoin.

Around 1:30am eastern time 6/12.. the server were so lag for a few good mintues. All player's ping went from 40 up to 400.

Two interesting happened during that time, ATG logged into the server, only DEMISE's ping still stay at 20s.

Ping went down after ATG left, after we tried to voteban DEMISE.

I've had a few occasions where when i ask you to change or when you get in the race whoring range, you leave the game and later come back the next map or so.

I only really made this comment because yesterday or two days ago I think it was when I told you to changerace I said, "Are you going to leave the game?" then the next time I asked you to changerace you said you had to go to check out this thread. I knew you were just coming here to check the thread, but I thought it was coincidental that I made that comment then the next time you left when you had to change, that is all.

Besides, as lame as it would be if you really left the game to avoid playing a non max race everytime, it's not against the rules and I doubt any punishment would come from it. I mean that's if you came back the next map. If you returned to the same map its an instanst race change.

Stuff happens, i beleave i remember the time when i left and rejoined after a 15 minute break. On assualt when i left cause the phone rang. Then i came back spawned because the round just started so i didnt have time to change my race but i suicided that same round and changed it, which you also asked me to do anyways. Its coincidental yes with your remark, then i end up leaving to go check the thread but hey stuff happens lol. Besides the odd things that happen that interfear - i do change my race and stay for the map.

Oh! just to add cause of your comment today i went 70 and 2. Starting as Blood mage to cap - then leveling kapella all the rest of the way.

The purpose of this thread was ATG hacks. The demo didn't really show anything. Just make sure you have a witness next time he avoids the 4:1 rule.

I had one incident with ATG whereby he refused to change his race, I switched him to spec so he could change and he went nuts on me so I banned him. Since then all is good, he changes his race when he hits 4:1 so I have no problem with him.

No the time i was banned was when i had two rounds left, even announced it to the server as i always did. Then french told me to change, i said " I was" then killed a Forbiddon and said people were "Fucken blind" Next round starts you move me to spec when i still had two rounds to change then i said in admin " Why did you fucken put me in spec you idiot " or something of the sort. Thats when you banned me for 4 hours for disrepect, which was reduced to 30 minutes by orc and said all i should have gotten was a mute.

So that "refused to change race" and " Went nuts" is what?

Theres a thread about it in resolved if you want to look at it.

ATG please shush.... it is an okay race without items... i have never bought items with it and i have never been on a negative ration upon playing it..... but it doesn't need to be removed... maybe removing the shop items as LongJump would make it a pain in the ass!

Who would want to be on a race that has such horrible killing potential when they can go on a gun race and get so much more out of it. The race itself does suck very much. Its easy to kill, it gets ass fucked if theres more then one person shooting it, so many races to counter it. The only thing it has is health and thats why everything thinks its "op" if anything.. Its actualy under powered. The point im trying to make is it doesnt fit with the races any way you look at it. It disrupts the flow and makes people whine. It does need to be removed.

I can't didn't see it THIS time, but......I've seen you leave and come back when you were getting close to 4:1 a few times. The problem is I would have to know ahead of time if you were leaving to get the right screenshots.

The only time i leave and rejoin was when i changed my race to a non max since i reached the 24+ 4-1. since at the time i didnt know that the suicide didnt count on HLS. I never leave and rejoin to avoid the 4-1 kdr. Again ask the people who play the server alot and they'll tell you the same thing.

Sadly no it isnt true, since you are rarely on the server how can you even give an acceptible oppinion on this? Ask people who are always there and you'll see i stay almost all the time, and do change my race all the time. The only times i left was when i was busy or most recently i left the round after the person who told me there was a thread about me. How you can relate the round after for hearing this news to leaving cause i was near the cap. Especialy when almost all that night i was leveling non max races.

Of course i am kidding, I just hate playing against the race. To much time focusing on killing it and not enough time enjoying the game. I agree with you, please remove the race.

Actualy i came back in the game to laugh at the vid to the person who told me it was there. You just happened to be there so i stated, somewhat losely qouted " If your going to demo me you should have picked the countless other demos of me actualy doing well. You made me look bad in those "

I play with ATG almost every time, he can range from 40-20/0. I can't say he is truly hacking but i can say it makes one think.. or he is just one damn good wcs player

But with my luck he got the off chance of me doing poorly. Oh well i'll give him plently of more chances to demo me but i'll make sure to do well.

If your going to demo me, at least do it when im playing half decently and not when its 2 in the morning playing like shit, your making me look bad.

I'm not talking about when its normal, I'm talking about when it's loading when shopmenu items. You're undead wouldn't be able to outrun it because it's can by long jump so the HH will just LG to you since it will only slow down till it teleports again, which is a 3 sec cooldown.

I understand what your saying, but also the only time HH is even decently good at all is when its loaded with shopmenu items. Why would i be a HH and only get 1 or 2 kills - when a race with a gun can far out do this.

In reality though, the race itself should be removed. Not because its overpowered, but because it just doesnt fit in the server. It greatly disrupts the flow and feel of the game. It just doesnt suit in with all of the other races at all.

Since to make it even a decent race it needs to have all the shopmenu items, but then it can become annoying to anyone trying to kill it. It becomes one of those "All or nothing" Situations. Completly useless with out shopmenu items, and decent enough to get a few kills while having shopmenu items. Since the nature of the race is high health, it trully needs that health in order to do anything. But at the same time all that health ruins the game.

Im sorry if i didnt get the point im trying to make across properly - but hopfully enough for some to understand.

So to restate the race itself should just be removed. Not reworked, not nerfed, not buffed - but removed. It doesnt fit the server.

Why even restrict just nerf the race or I will end up with 1000 lvl undead since that is the only way i can kill it.

Well there were two restarts and alot of crashes, the skipping lag is gone, now theres just the normal lag.

Pending for an ENG/JCS to restart the server (I don't have access to the panel to do that).

Warcraft Server 2 desperetly needs a restart at the very least. It has massive "skipping" lag that is getting progressively worse.

Only thing is it wont work like that how much people code.

Most evasions, or "immunity to" spots are actualy not. You lose the health then it heals it back. So you can actualy still die even though you were supposed to "evade" or be "immune" to it.

A good example of this would be races that evade say 80% of the time but to counter they have low health. That race is essientialy useless cause if you dont survive the hit to begin with, you cant evade it.

30 health, takes a 10 damage hit. Evade procs, Drops to 20, then raises back to 30.

30 health, takes a 50 damage hit, dead.

Cant evade what you cant survive to begin with.

it would be really nice if we took out dust and made it so that dust office assault compound and nuke aren't in all the votes that come up for a new map and instead put in custom maps to mix things up abit i know alot of people would like that

Only thing is alot of the custom maps suck. Ultra fun for example is a very horrible map. Speedball aint to bad unless its full then that is a shit fest as well.
