  2. Honestly it is just op in comparison to other invis races so either races like lurker and kj get more powerful ( which isn't going to happen )

    or zeratul will get nerfed, and honestly throwing it down to about 25 or 50 health should do the trick (and possibly maybe in the worst case taking away the sock)

    Also if your on zeratul don't be a douche and only defuse the bomb if you're the last one left or there's like 10 ppl watching the bomb (cause then its hilarious)

    Honestly i haven't seen anyone invis defusing anyway...

    The mini-freeze and burn are very useful. You won't believe how much a 100% freeze every second that lasts for .25 seconds will screw up another player's game play. I can tell you that I can't stand it when I'm playing any race with speed or long jump.

    A more true statement was never said.


  4. goblin alchemist keeps crashing my game to desktop on round spawn

    its been happening since i first started on the race and i havent been able to spend more than 4 rounds in game without a crash. also it always crashes the first round of a new map

    This happens to me but mostly after I minimize the game.


  5. I guess it does have a few advantages for some then,

    However on the bright side kikkoman just found a way to make drow bearable!

    I honestly hated when i only had a chipset and had to deal with the bullshit of optimizing my graphics, and i completely understand rigging the graphics to make it playable.

    Also a titbit of a story here I had tf2 on an old system with dx8 ati card and i could see cloaked spies as black blobs,

    I loved to troll them all day long...

    2. there really shouldn't be that much of an increase in performance going down from 9 to 8 it was always useless for me anyway (only huge increase i get is going from 9 to 7)

    3. If you have a card/chipset which only runs dx8 I think your computer might be older than i am... >.<

    4. could be really easy or next to impossible to fix server side


  7. I think drow queen's ultimate should be complete darkness for EVERYBODY. So it's more like an escape tool or a rushing tool rather as a 'kill everything in my ultimate'

    In addition with a longer cooldown of course.

    I agree however using it on bombs is op no matter what side you're on.

    Also the only way the drow should be able to "see" through the darkness is with its beacon.


  8. The Blind Monk (honestly the name doesn't matter if you have something better go for it)

    Knife race

    Oh yeah and its blind (as in completely black screen sm_blind and all that shit)

    1. Blindness(10 levels): you can sense moving and shooting players even through walls. (range: 500-5000 feet)

    2. 6th Sense(10 levels): you feel the changes in the air pressure caused by the incoming bullets allowing you to evade them.(6-60% evade)

    3. Martial arts training(10 levels): your training grants you extra damage and extra speed.(5-50 extra damage 3-30% extra speed)

    4. Lunge (5 levels): teleport ultimate with 5 sec cooldown.

    Quick thoughts on the Blindness skill it should work similar to stalkers wall's but the player should be shown with a color depicting their team(ie: ts would be red orbs and cts would be blue) however a disguiser should change the color of the orb.

    Another quick thought on a possible expertise for it

    Expertise: While standing still blindness has the ability to sense non-moving players.

    Does it make me a bad person that every time I see this blind couple walking around campus I feel it makes it necessary to make a joke about the blind leading the blind?

Could I get a a clarification by someone with authority as to what exactly is being done with this situation because I have been playing all day today and I'm tired of hearing all the complaining about this issue, and it would be FANTASTIC to have a place we could point to in the forums as to whether or not there is currently a rule restricting lotp from shottys.


  10. My suggestions to make this race less op are:

    Skill [10](Ability): Playboy

    Drop Playboys on the ground. When enemy soldiers walk over them they are stunned by the magazine.

    1 to 10 Playboys per round- Freezes for two seconds. magazines are not invis.

    10 secs CD. magazines last the round.

    Skill [5]: USP

    Spawn with USP

    5 extra ammo in mag per level.

    Skill [10]: Sneak Suit

    95% invis when you have knife not moving. if you change to pistol you are not invis anymore for 4 seconds.

    80% invis with pistol out.

    Any Movement from this class will only reduce the amount of invis.

    When running you are fully visible.

    Skill [5]: Skilled Aim

    Over all damage increase for USP only.

    10%-35% Increase in damage

    Skill Ultimate [5]: Boxification

    Turn yourself into a box. 100% damage reduction, but immobile. can't attack.

    30 sec CD. lasts anywhere from 3-7.

    and this definitely needs a very obvious visual

    10 levels - gain $100-$1000 per kill

    Rampage Restoration

    4 levels - During Goblin Rampage for each kill you get your health is set to a minimum of 25hp-100hp

    Rapid Rampage

    6 levels - During Goblin Rampage your speed is increased 5-30%

    Rampaging Reinforcements

    5 levels- If you die during Goblin Rampage you have a 10-50% chance of respawning in the place where you

    died with all your weapons and armor

    Goblin Rampage (ultimate)(30 second recharge)

    5 levels - For 2-7 seconds each kill you get refills your clip and each kill has a 20%-100% chance of renewing

I honestly think the 30 sec rule should be stuck to for crit nades, I mean if someone is lucky enough to survive the first crit nade its really bullshit to just throw another right at their face before they really get a chance to retreat or get to a more defensible position. Not to mention those 2 crit nades can pretty much kill a maxed zombie...


  13. I kinda want to bring back some of the chaos from tfc so i thought i would suggest this

    TFC Medic

    25 lvls\5 skills

    Medic armament 5 points

    You gain 25-100 armor and 25%-100% chance to receive the pump shotty, and your uniform stands out greatly from the rest

    STDs 5 points

    Being so well versed in diseases you can infect the enemy with your knife dealing 1- 2hp each 14-10 seconds (effect stays for the entire round) but do 0 knife damage

    The infection also has a 5-25% chance to spread to enemy teammates in close proximity(1 yard) to the player you infected each time the player is damaged by your infection

    STAT! 5 points

    You move around the battle field quickly (106%-130% speed)

    The Good Ole' Doctor 5 points

    Knifing your teammates heals them (1-5 health for left clicking,3-15 health for right clicking)

    Who heals the healer? 5 points

    You regenerate 5-15 health for every 9-5 sec that you are not in combat (both you getting shot and you shooting would be considered in combat)

    For your uniform standing out from the rest I was thinking give the medic a specific coloring so it stands out from the rest and if you could make a

    red cross above his head i think that would be bad ass.

    About infection i thought a better amount would be dealing damage every 10-6 secs and therefore would deal 100 damage over a 5 min long round max,

    but with something which may be horribly OP i thought it would be better to play it safe at first and go with 60 damage max in a 5 min round.

    Also infected players would need to be clearly visible to other teammates so that they know not to go near the infected player; it might also be pretty cool

    if you could grab the sound files from tf2 and have the infected players scream "MEDIC!!!" occasionally when infected.

    I thought this race might be good to cause some chaos. If you have any comments or suggestions please don't hesitate to voice them (unless you're butt-hole surfer)

    and if you can express my idea any better it would be much appreciated as i'm having a lot of trouble writing coherently today (took me an hour to write this...) :(


  14. If I were you guys i would take a very hard look at how you restrict weapons for races because

    1. when we were all playing the same race only flame predator, zombie, and trickster assassin caused a crash, and the only thing i can think of that these races have in common is weapon restrictions
    2. Most of these races have been glitching a lot, most of the time weapons are restricted which should not be leaving selene and archimonde without guns and knife races without knives.
    3. Oracion was a knife race which was without a knife and when he tried to give himself one with his admin the server crashed
    4. The server crashes when the races are in the server and when the server tries to change map, this appears to happen more with races which are not allowed to have a knife (Archimonde, lurker, robin hood, etc.).
    5. Lastly when things like archimonde, lurker, and robin hood play in the server you can roughly predict that the server will crash within the next 6 rounds (usually at the end of the third / beginning of the fourth round).


  15. CRagdollProp::CreateObjects: Couldn't Lookup Bone oildrum001_physbox

    Bad ragdoll for props_c17\oildrum001.mdl

    this has always occurred (even before update) because of trickster assassin, the barrel model doesn't have a ragdoll it shouldn't cause any crashing if it is unable to find this, instead it should resort to using the default death mechanic (which is having the body simply disappear). Also ragdolls should only be rendered client side which would explain why your getting a client side error (unless of course they were stupid enough to change this with the update).

    crashing seems to happen roughly once every 3 rounds when someone is playing lurker, but it could just be coincidence
