  1. All hell is loose once you get a choppa. :(...

    GET TO DA CHOPPA!

P.S. have you guys ever heard someone actually say "Get to the choppa"? XD

only in the movies! actually during combat, i've only ever been on a C17 and C130... no choppas :(

  2. Not anymore, you can join the high school to flight school program now which requires a minimum of 110 score on your GT when you take the ASVAB

thats pimp-alicious... I hear you can also assess directly into special forces now... craziness.

make sure your crotch isn't too high... seriously... you can't fly a choppa is your crotch is too high... a friend found out after already getting the branch and everything :(

  3. FBI is paid better than most think, sure their paygrades are ass and a half. However they get various pays when on assignment that makes them money.

All done and said, if they have a good week, it shows in their check.

starting out, it's good, if you already have a job, it sucks... the locality pay (the only extra pay a regular agent gets) covers the extra cost of living in certain areas... so it's not really "extra" money...

gs10 (after you finish your initial training) is around 40k/yr ish an O2 in the military makes around 60k/yr and it only takes 18months from O1 to O2

  4. Do you HAVE to memorize EVERYTHING? If so I would be so fucked.. I have memory problems lol.

no, but you'll notice that you start to just remember shit out of repetition... Although a good memory will be a great help...

  5. During your 4th and 8th year as an officer (an O3 requirement) you can request to be boarded to become a functional area which is like.. super specialized .. specifically im FA24, which is telecommunications officer... we are basically engineers, both electrical and network. We go through cisco training up to the professional level in routing and voice, we know circuitry and advanced EE (grad level) and EXTREME math... (during the course, we covered 19 semesters of upper level math in 22 days, very high failure rate)

i did an FA24 job during my last deployment, it was neat, basically I went to Kabul, Afghanistan, and spec'd a site. Once the specing was done, my team and I came up with a plan to build a fiber optic ring underground, build shelters for our switching closets and a tactical control facility which housed the POP connecting to the satellite. Once we did this, we decided how much power that required, then talked to our civil engineers for "standard power reqs" and based on our diagrams, it was done. It's pretty kick ass to create something on paper and see it implemented. I left and went to bagram afghanistan to optimize their existing infrastructure, then returned to kabul to configure the routers connecting to the "cloud"

overall, the job is pretty kickass.

  6. Actually, driz is the person you want to speak to on that subject. I don't want to put his business out on the street, BUT he took the FBI exam and passed. They begged him to join, but at our current ranks in the Army it would mean taking a pay cut. I wish you the best of luck with your Criminal Justice degree.

stupid GS10 pay rate... FBI woulda been fun too. But seriously, who can live on that income? I have needs.

  7. I know about the entrance part, up until I left, which suffices to answer his question. You don't like the answer I gave because it is against what the military tries to tell you. As I said believe me or not is your problem. Truth of the matter is, my version is a correct version, perpendicular to the full entrance to the military.

They can not imprison you for defecting on the military until you step foot onto the bus to go to boot camp. That is the truth of my argument, you can try it yourself. As proof of this, I can scan the letter they mailed me stating (paraphrasing) "that if I choose to return, I may under no penalties"

dude, please look up the word defecting.. you sound like a moron. Also, familiarize yourself with the law, specifically, breach of contract. And as to your letter, what about it? you're obviously not an ideal military candidate, they offered you a free 2nd chance if you decide that being a complete idiot wasn't working for you... seems gracious of them.

As to what you're telling us being "perpendicular" to what the military says... seriously? did you pass highschool? Your version, is A version of what happened, which i explained multiple times. The military does not chase down the losers if they decide to not show up. What you said is fairly common knowledge, you dont know anything special or secret. I clarified your misled points, but I never said you couldn't just not show up. I said you are still legally bound by a contract, which you are.

Furthermore, you DO NOT know about the entrance part because you didn't do it.

Can someone just block him from spamming this thread with useless and incorrect info while others are asking for real advice?

  8. Driz, this has been proved as spam before against other people.

I'm sorry, proving something against someone else is not proof against another person.

TBH if people are going to cry when someone hits the button a couple times back to back (which I have done before when my command fails) then I will not be giving money out in servers to unappreciative players.

Again, my point is, wait until the admin in question can say something for himself before everyone jumping in with useless comments like "disciplinary action is needed!" Obviously if he has no valid excuse, it's needed... it's kinda like saying "oh shit, cs runs on a computer" waste of space and time.

I further believe, if you postwhore in the complaint section it should be an immediate infraction. Aside from that, I will not judge an admin before he has time to comment in his defense. Nor should any of you (except in rare circumstances where craziness occurs)

  9. I've run into this problem a few times, sometimes you send the command and it doesn't work, you're at round end trying to do the nice thing so you hit the button a few times because it's not going through.

Sometimes you all need to wait for a response from the admin rather than being kids and immediately saying "discipline him!" Innocent until proven guilty... sound familiar?

I dont see timestamps, so as far as I'm concerned, this isn't spam. I also see no proof this caused a crash. It could have been coincidence.

  10. Driz, wrong. While it was true I never fully got into the military, I did do what I posted. Whether you want to believe that or not is your problem.

If you do not believe me, call this station, and if Gunnery Sgt. Amaya is there, you can call him and ask him about me.

    (PM me for the information)

He'll probably talk shit because I personally told him to fuck off.

dude... just shh. i dont care what you said to anyone.. you aren't military, you dont know anything about it... they didn't lock you up because, as i said, they dont care about losing the retards.

  11. See my highschool grades are not where they are at or where they should be for ROTC im pretty sure, i have like a 2.8 up until jr year but i wonder if i can increase it senior year but yea, i just dont get the whole ROTC thing can you enlighten me with EVERYTHING in an around it because i may be wrong and that might be the most viable option

you can get into ROTC with those grades, the only time the grades really affect college rotc is when you try to get scholarships... it works like any other, they're competitive and you need good grades... bring your grades up in HS, and apply for a ROTC scholarship before school starts, if you dont get it, keep applying each year, if you get good grades during college, for your last 2 yrs you can get a 2 yr scholarship...

If you want more info (chosen and i did rotc in 2004) i would contact the recruitment operations officer in an ROTC program near you.. the rotc program has changed a bit since we were in it.

  12. i can try to answer. u train and go to school and after that im sure u get time to relax before u get put in active duty because u wouldent want someone out of training going in because they would be tired. now i know im not in the army yet but i do know alot about it.

i also have a question do they let ppl with asthma in.

i am in jrotc right now and am going into my third year another question what would i be if i went in after my 4th year?

if you complete 4 yrs and enlist, you go in as an E-3. if you have a 4 yr degree you can go in as an E4 or an O1 (if you do ocs)

  13. Alright, well im pretty set in stone on joining the air force my only problem is that i have not decided on joining right out of highschool or going to college for 2 years

If i went to a community college for 2 years would that even help out more than just enlisting straight out of highschool and doing the 6 year enlistment (higher rank)

you do in fact get higher rank sometimes, although if you're going to do 2 yrs, why not find a school with air force rotc, get a scholarship, and become an officer?

  14. Ok, let me start with some stuff here:

Obviously defiance (admittedly) was never in the military and is very bitter over it. His information is, for the most part, incorrect and based on things he's heard. His comments on cannon fodder and spec ops is obviously wrong as he would have no clue, considering he's never served. Therefore, I would suggest ignoring his statements.

As to what makes the Army better than another military branch... Nothing, honestly. Each branch has it's own advantages and disadvantages. I'll tell you this much, if you join the marines or army, you will deploy, quickly. The Army is by far the largest of the branches and has a multitude of jobs, that being said, due to the numbers, many people feel like they're just statistics, which may or may not be true, it's a perception.

If you want a highly technical field, I would say go Air Force, I would also say go AF if you're not in the best of shape (and don't want to be), no offense to the AF guys, but it's a fact, they focus more on technical things than fitness. If you want to fly.... surprisingly, don't go air force, go navy. They have almost all of the jets, the AF has most of the "big planes" the Army has a majority of the helicopters and the marine has a bit of all of it. If you want to be hardcore, go marines, hands down. they focus primarily on being a killer, no matter what your job is. Coast guard is pretty much the law enforcement of the sea, they can board pretty much any vessel in the water, aside from that, they're similar to the navy, but with specialized rescue missions and border defense missions.

In reply to waffle, it really depends what you do. If you enlist, sometimes you go to basic training, then AIT, then sometimes you can do home-town recruiting until you report to your duty station, sometimes you report immediately... sometimes you deploy to war right away, sometimes you go to your post and work for 3 years without deploying. It's hard to say what will happen because 1) troop deployment cycles are classified 2) you do what you do based on the needs of the Army, which we really can never be sure of.

Another division here is if you go guard/reserves or active duty, obviously the guard/reserve guys relax a bit more since their primary job isn't the military...

What defiance tried to say is completely incorrect. this once or twice a week thing ONLY happens if you join DEP between your jr and sr yr of high school. If you already finished, you go to the recruiting station, take an asvab, go to meps, sign a contract and get a report date. As most people know, a contract is legally binding, you can go to jail for violating that contract. At times, the military has better things to do and will just ignore you if you don't show up for the bus, but they have the legal right to have you arrested and put in jail for "failure to report" Generally.. if you're a non-ideal candidate (read: piece of shit, retard, or criminal) they will not bother coming after you, if you however are a rocket scientist... be ready for the kidnapping.

Also, his defiance's definition of "defecting" is .. wrong. he's obviously poorly educated, and i again stress that he be ignored.

  15. i just bought new stuffz (for my bday which is the 18th)! it's all cosmetic, but it will be very pretty soon (more so than already) stay tuned for new pics.

  16. I can answer that one.

After signing up to a military branch, they "recommend" you come to train with them once or twice a week. After an amount of time, they will have you go down to a meps station, where they give you a piss test, eye test, hearing test and physicals. Just hope you don't get the old doctors, they get their jollies off the youngin'

You are than given a "contract" to sign, you swear an "oath" of loyalty, given a ship-date, and are given the belief that from here on out you are the Military's property.

Let me tell you a not so well known secret.

Until you step foot on the bus to bootcamp you are not by ANY stretch of legal means obligated to continue on with the military. You are able to leave at any point, however, AS SOON as you step on that bus, you are the military's till your contract is up, and if they say jump, you WILL say "Sir, How High Sir?"

Please ignore defiance as he really has no clue what he's talking about. I (or Chosen) will address the questions when im done work (or when he is).

Defiance is also clueless on the missions between special operations forces and everyone else. just disregard anything he says.

  17. User had an obvious no recoil that others commented on, i watched him when dead. Went into spec mode and watched him for a few rounds, then demoed him for the below recording. With r_drawothermodels set 2 it also almost seems like walling, but the definites to me seem to be aimbotting and no recoil.

The current ban is 6 hours.

  18. No such thing as a sealed record. BIG BROTHER SEES ALL!

yah.. chosenone's sealed record said he was black... when he joined the army... they already knew... so wtf... they of course checked his sealed records.

  19. What do you major in?

i thought that was fairly clear :P

my undergrad major was computer science with a concentration in internet and web technology, minor in military science.

my grad school major was in information technology management with an emphasis in web services security. I'm working on a second master's in network engineering with an emphasis in terretrial communications.
