    yah, like mario suggested, use vista sp3... er win7.. they finaly fixed some vista bugs :D

    or use linux, since there's nothing in windows you cant do in linux... and i get about 20fps better in linux than i do in windows.

    Hmm.

    Skill 2 - The variable that suppose to represent your new speed does not match the variable you set it to. wcs_speed =/= wcs_setspeed

    Skill 4 - you set kback but you dont use it in the skill. Also the skill pretty much push them upwards.

    Skill 5 - change the skill cfg to player_attacker

    Skill 6 - ultimate block?

    Be weary that headshot immunity is an iffy concept with normal health. It will most likely wont work when your health drops to the 100 range but with the health bonus, this race should be hard to kill

    Future reference: use es_set / es_xset for future variable setting.

    thanks for the help, in skill 2, are you saying just match the variables?

    eg. under setting i use wcs_speed but in cmd i used wcs_setspeed? i should use the same variable on both? I assumed wcs_speed and wcs_setspeed were related in the system (this is my first race afterall)

    for skill4, what do you mean? i thought est_physpush would use the kback setting to push them up (in chosen's request, he wanted to "make them jump"

    skill5, done, i assumed since it was was based on who you shoot, it would be your victim, not your attacker? but i changed it like you suggested.

    skill6, it's a knockback that doesn't do direct damage... i didnt really want to allow blocking it...

    keep the tips coming :D this will help me next time i try to make something... I'm learning as i go

    pimp hat starts as 25% and increases by 5% each level for 8 levels, culminating with 60%

    bitch slap i didnt give a chance to proc... it always works, just not very much at first... i figured as a pimp has more experience, he bitchslaps better... so i made the knockback increase with level, but of course, a pimp can ALWAYS bitchslap.. just not very well early on.

    Instead of having him slow all the time. Have the ability if he walks he regens Health back.

    Edit: Not as much as Huskar of course. More like 10 HP per 4 seconds or somethin like that.

    The reason i went with slow (chosen wanted fast originally) is when you "pimp walk" you walk slower and exegerrated... sooo in keeping with how a pimp actually moves (a cane, a gangsta lean, and a slow swagger walk) i went with increasingly decreased speed. the additional health is due to the fact that a more prominent pimp (higher lvl) would have more protection... (perhaps he bought local law enforcement or something)

    so while some changes would be cool, I still wanna keep the "pimp" feel

    Will the ultimate deal fall damage if they fall off a cliff or something?

    the ulti is just a knockback, if they fall off something, they'll take normal damage due to gravity. Chosen actually wanted chain lightning dmg along with the ulti, but i thought it would be too OP (thinking of assault... someone on roof, use ulti hit a bunch of dudes and knock em off roof = death?)

    Is there anyway of switching to 64 bit or do I have to stay with 32 bit?

    if you have a 64bit processor, you can check it out.... check and make sure there are drivers for your shit in xp/vista 64. ALSO, unless you are using 4+GB of ram, there is 0 benefit (this is physics, keep your opinions to yourself) to switching to a 64bit operating system.

    I have an idea for a new race.

    The Pimp (only pistol and knife):

    Pimp's Fur Coat - extra armor

    Pimp Shoes - runs a little bit faster with no audible steps

    Pimp Hat - Up to 50% reduction when taking headshots

    Pistol Whip - When shooting a player, the player has a chance of jumping in the air

    My Street Corner - The Hoes have been busy (extra cash at the start of the round)

    Pimp Hand (Ultimate) - Similar to the admin command "slap player" and doing chain lightning damage

    sm_who is useful when knowing FuzzyCat is playing under another name, and not doing anything to fix the teams.

    However, I have all of the admins i've seen STEAMID saved in a notepad.

    but anyway, my point is, if fuzzycat isn't helping, and you know he's an admin, and you say "fuzzycat, i know you're on here, fix the teams" if he wasn't helping before, he'll likely just ignore you. I just dont see what this will solve, but i do see it causing 10x more complaint threads about admins not doing what others think they should be doing, to which i say, "buy admin and do it the way you think it should be done!"

    i dont balance teams, nor will i ever. I put AFK guys in spectate, or kick them when the server is full... I fix people who get stuck, i kick or ban guys who deserve such action, and that's it.

    Someone knowing im an admin and bugging me to do more than the above will result in me !muting them

    Done with everything save the second half of my flight physical actually, its taken me awhile to get all this sorted out as well, dad was the first one to tell me about the program.

    it's not quite highschool to flightschool... I read up on it and spoke to some friends about the program :

    What does this mean? you are going to basic training then AIT, just like any other Soldier would who isn't becoming an officer via rotc/academy/ocs

    once you make E4 (waiverable e3) you would go to WOC per your contract... but yah... this is how it's always worked, you just have a contract to goto WOC once you're eligible where others would have to compete and be recommended.

    i don't think it's needed at all. there is really no reason for anyone to know the status of another. it gains you nothing. If you NEED an admin for something, ask ig, and someone will either help you, or contact someone who can....

    if there is an admin on who isn't helping you... knowing they're an admin won't force them to help you...

    DD-WRT is already making my router work better, I've been getting better speeds already.

    yahyah , i exaggerate a little when i say it's the same, but do some reading on dd-wrt qos settings and play with it...

    im sure you hear ppl say torrents cause bad pings, well, you can use QoS to say.. give counter strike priority over all, so even if you have 560000 torrents going, your ping is ok in css... neat shit.

    the dyndns autoupdater is nifty too.. you can also load asterisk (a voip pbx) on some models with enough rom...

    Well I need to pick up a new laptop as my old dell crapped out on me. I'm looking to spend at most 800 and have already narrowed it down to two. I would like to say I am comp savvy but sadly that was a few years back when I was into building my own comp, with that being said I am currently debating these two, I won't be buying them from bestbuy as I can get better deals elsewhere.

    dude, sorry to tell you this, but HP is pretty terrible atm with laptops. I bought my gf a tablet from HP, it was amazing kickass crazy pimpshit. until it caught on fire.

    check that link out... there are thousands of HP laptops not on that list too, i would avoid HP for the time being (that includes voodoo pc and compaq)

    try out asus, i always use their motherboard products when building, i haven't tried their laptops, but a friend told me they're pretty decent (he got one with a 32gb MLC ssd in it and 4gb ram, said it's pimpshit)

    that gov recall only covers the battery issue ones, they also had faulty solder on any board with an integrated nvidia chipset which caused overheating and eventual destruction of the board. do some google searches on hp nvidia recall and stuff.

    Well, when I press ESC it unfreezes. If I press TAB at the motd again it will loop/freeze all over again.

    Ok, I just found out that it has something to do with the UV banner whenever I join.

    it was due to the ssl, crothers disabled it for now

I actually went to night classes at a community college during my senior yr of highschool... it was extremely cheap (not anymore...) i paid 28$/credit hour took 1 class every 8 weeks for a year... my fast food job covered it fine :) (of course, being in HS i ate and lived for free with the 'rents)

    I am the luckiest motherfucker out there right now. Here's the story.

    I read the install guide for DD-WRT about 10 times. Finally got the balls to install it.

    Followed the custom install guide for my router and did the hard-reset.

    Couldn't get back in to the Web UI.

    Shat brix.

    Plugged the internet cable in and tried connecting again, and it worked magically.

    Got cocky and decided to flash over the custom package made for my router.

    Flashing went regular until the Web UI failed to show.

    Shat even more brix than last time.

    So now, I'm flipping out because I just broke my $100 router and I'm broke as fuck.

    As a last resort, I reset my router. (a terribad idea looking back on it)

    I remember somehow that I'm using a static local IP.

    I go through and disable that and I can connect to the Web UI again...

    And the flash went perfectly!!!

    So now my router is running DD-WRT.

    I'm so pumped.

    To prove how awesome my router is, here's a textshot from PuTTY.

    Oh, and for those of you that don't know what exactly this means, it means I could run a CSS server on my router if I had enough room.

    nono.. you could not run css server on there... you dont have the ram or cpu capacity (you already mentioned size, which is easy to fix, crack it open and solder on a larger rom or USB support and plug in a USB HD)

    what it does mean is that you have some fairly awesome capabilities in your router now that most people on here wont know how to use, luckily they have google and will do amazing things (or just leave it stock and brag about dd-wrt even though it did nothing for them...)

    i had dd-wrt, and i loved it at first, but it kept crashing on me and dropping my connection.

    but i now has a netgear with weird/cool LED's o_o

    sometimes router versions have very limited ram (linksys wrt54g/gs ver 5/6 with 2MB) and dd-wrt will install using micro, but will crash if you use much bandwidth.
