Windows 7 also has a 3GB cap, vista 64 doesn't =| i guess that's just what ill do... ugh...

Ok, so i just finished building my Gaming Desktop, and it runs great...

But when i go LAN with my friends i always bring my Gaming laptop, Well recently its been slacking in the gaming department so i Decided to finally just upgrade to 4GB's of ram

Now i am running Windows Vista 32 bit on my laptop (i kno, i kno) which i know has a max RAM set of 3GB or somewhere around there

But i went into MSconfig and BIOS and turned off the Maximum Memory setting and it read 4GB

So the computer recognize i have 4GB of RAM in the system... but the computer never uses more than 2.6GB of RAM to run things... when i go into processes during an laggy application its saying its maxed out using 2.6GB...

so why is my computer telling me it knows i have 4GB of RAM... but only using 2.6 of it =((
