    Dear Syndicate Gamers,
Due to unforseen circumstances we are quite sorry to inform all of you that we have been forced to rollback certain parts of our community around 8 months. Around the middle of the night last Monday (May 7th), the forums and many major sectors of our community went into a period of unplanned downtime. At first, we thought it was a DNS error and it would be an easy fix, it was later discovered that a HD Failure in one of our dedicated boxes was the cause of this downtime. As many Minecraft players will know, this is the second one we have had this month. The first one was an offsite server where the majority of our backups were stored. With this recent failure, we lost a set of hard drives that contained all our databases for the community, and despite sending the drives out, the data was unable to be recovered - being lost forever.
We are extremely sorry for this and we know that this could have been prevented if we had taken some more precautions on our (my) part. But we need the community to bear with us, because what is done is done and there's no point in crying over spilled milk.
The affected Syndicate Gamer Services are:
    - Forums (Member Registrations, Account Passwords, Ranks, Recruitment, Forum Topics, Forum Threads, Post Counts, Join Dates, Reputation, and everything forum related has rolled back)
    - Sourcebans (Bans and Admins)
    - Minecraft (Certain database-dependent resources have been rolled back, not all is lost - the server as it stands was largely unaffected. The minecraft department has more details on this.)
Once again we are extremely sorry for the loss of data on our part. We have taken measures to make sure a data failure of this scale never happens again. What we plan to do now is pick up the pieces, rebuild the community to its previous standing before the crash and carry on. We promise the community that we, the staff, will be coming back from this rollback in full swing - we will be doing a lot of things to make sure the community will grow and prosper as we continue into the next chapter for our community.
We need your support throughout all of this, because as you all know - we as staff are volunteers here, none of us get compensated or paid for the work we do, we put our own time and money into creating a community where everyone can play games and have fun. All we're asking from you is your continued and everlasting support.
Once again, I give you all the biggest apologies for this mess - if there was anything I could personally do to make any of this better, I would. But we're stuck with what we have right now.
    Regards,
    Jason
    Chairman of Syndicate Gamers

To all members affected by the rollback:
    - Clan Recruitment, Clan Ranks, Clan Benefits (Clan Admin), Staff Access
Please contact Mitch | mitch@syndicate-gamers.net OR through Forum PM
    - Admin Subscriptions, Supporter Packages and other Financial Related Issues
Please contact Marvin | through forum PM
    To all members:
    - If there are ANY issues regarding the forum (e.g. you are missing the ability to do something, you're able to do something that you shouldn't be able to do, or any other bugs/glitches) or SourceBans (not enough access as before, someone needs to be re-permabanned, any other bugs/glitches):
Please contact Mitch | mitch@syndicate-gamers.net OR through Forum PM
    - Forum Posts and Reputation is not going to be restored, we have determined it is best for everyone to get a fresh start on reputation and it would be fair if everyones' post got rolled back appropriately. Post waivers will be given out a little easier however.
    - We have also attached a poll for the forum theme. Please vote for which theme you like more and think should be the default for the community (we know that neither has actually changed, we just want to know).
    - If you would like to help support us, and the things we do, please feel free to donate using the button on the sidebar of the main page, we would greatly appreciate any support you can give us.
