This game is under $5 on Steam, at the moment. It has four-player online VS mode. Be warned, though. A controller is pretty much necessary for it! It has a current roster of six characters, with two more being planned for in the coming months.

Several of us in the community already have it (Jeff, Noms, York, Camel, Avery)! The game has a surprising amount of depth, which allows for a lot of possible competitive gameplay. It's the best thing next to an emulated version of the Smash Bros. games on PC.
