Currently in the middle of this fascinating documentary done by Adam Curtis. I know I'm late to the party but I thought I should share and recommend it.

 

It's incredibly interesting to see how we got to where we are today (or at least see his perspective of it).

 

 

HyperNormalisation is the last documentary made by Adam Curtis. The film was released on 16 October 2016 on the BBC iPlayer, and tells the extraordinary story of how we got to this strange time of great uncertainty and confusion - where those who are supposed to be in power are paralysed - and have no idea what to do. And, where events keep happening that seem inexplicable and out of control - from Donald Trump to Brexit, the War in Syria, the endless migrant crisis, and random bomb attacks. It explains not only why these chaotic events are happening - but also why we, and our politicians, cannot, or do not want, to understand them.
