Today I heard SO's can't ref for l2 unless they have that rank but I had SO's ref me for my l2. When was this changed if it was.

A while ago, you can only ref your your current rank or below.

I thought it was SO's can only ref for L2, unless they have the higher rank.

You may be correct because i remember there being a big deal about a bunch of SOs vouching for people to get l2 or l3 when they were brand new members of the community.

SOs can only ref for L2.

 

After that, you must have the rank they are applying for or above in order to ref someone. 

 

Staff can refer everyone regardless of how long they've been here.
