MX Red is definitely not between brown and blue. Red is a low actuation linear switch, it's similar to blacks which is a high actuation linear switch.

 

Brown and blues are tactical feedback switches both with medium (brown) and high actuation with a click (blue). I think there is a switch between the two, but I forget the color.

 

I also noticed this that might work perfect for you. Blackwidow keyboard with a free ergonomic razer deathadder. Both Blackwidow/Blackwidow stealth (idk the difference between them)

I've heard the FKs are pretty good as well. Just the ambidextrous version of the EC2s

My das keyboard is great. Also Zowie EC2 EVO mouse :3. I really need to look into an IPS monitor. Both of mine are years old LCDs.

The new one. I ordered it on the 28th of july and they just finally got the first batch while other retailers had been on their 3rd batch

. But yeah basically they got a new sensor and are a little bit bigger.

Thoughts? 

I have two slightly different models of the ips displays and they are pretty good. The only real complaint I would have about them is the glossy coating, but that's just my preference. The k70 is an epic keyboard (ordered mine yesterday). But when i got to try it out at a store it was the most solid keyboard i have ever used. Also out of curiosity what switches do you plan on getting?
