Kim 469 Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) It was a sunny afternoon when Kim found himself awaking from his slumber at his small home in the suburbs of Missouri. While the birds could be heard chirping nearby as children played in the streets, something felt a bit off about the day. After deciding it would be best to get up and eat something, Kim made his way towards the kitchen. After some debate he finally decided to simply eat some fresh apples and listen to some local news. Kim has been awaiting a call from the business he recently applied to. Nervous yet excited, Kim watched the phone waiting patiently for it to ring. This was the moment Kim has been waiting for, all his hard work and dedication has led to this one moment in his life. The one thing Kim held so dear to his heart was at risk. Despite this, Kim remained calm, all his hard work has gotten him recognized by many at the company, and they appreciated his work. Surely all of their positive input would secure him the job he has been dreaming of since he was a small child. The phone jolts with a ringing louder than any phone has ever rung and Kim springs out of his seat to pick it up. Excitedly Kim exhales and asks "Who is it?" to which the reply is simply "We need to talk." Fear immediately rushed through him, like a tidal wave that swept all positive emotions from his body. "Why do we need to talk?, what could have possibly gone wrong?" Kim wonders. Kim hears the other end once again, this time slower and more confused "Kim? Are you there? We don't think you will make the cut." In a sudden outburst Kim shouts "Why not? What possible reason is there for me not getting the job?!" Silence filled the air. The other end of the line was Nugget; Kim knew this, yet didn't expect Nugget to be the one to deliver the news.
