Late to the party but, I sold my 525exc a few years ago, way too cheap, what the fuck was I thinking. 

 

Never had any problems at all with it and riding it was just non stop awesomeness. 

 

Buy one. Now.

I've thought about getting one myself. Seems like it would be glorious fun. Are they feasible to ride on the highway?

My friend had a motard. Not a ktm but a 400 I think. He rode it on the highway pretty often. It maxed at about 90. Use it on the highway often and you'll have a lot of maintenance

I have heard great things about the KTM Motards. Specifically that the tanks are huge, they put down more power than a KLR650 (I know not REALLY a motard), and is lighter than one. 530 would be beefy enough to do highway easily too, especially if you change out the sprocket ratio.

 

I'd just ask what you're getting it for, if you really want a motard, I'd say go to a drz400 if you can just cause it's light and that's what a motard is about. If you're looking for like a dual sport that can handle dirt better than most and is lighter than most, the KTM is bomb.
