Garry's Mod Shitting Out

Why the fuck does this keep happening? The warning number changes I believe between other numbers, but it happens every time I try to open Garry's Mod after closing it the first time after steam starts up. The only thing that fixes it is restarting steam, and with my laptop, it takes fucking forever to reopen. Please, someone have some good news.

looks like steam's game launcher might be stuck doing something else, so try this:

press control alt delete

open task manager

click on the task manager tab that says "processes"

scroll down until you find steam's process (it'll only be one)

right click, and hit end process

restart steam

if that don't work, just validate steam cache

yeah when i was on my mac garry's mod just never ever wanted to work. Just restart that shit and in worst case reinstall

got this once, as someone already said force close steam then i just verify game cache. Not sure which worked first though

Could it be your computer maybe? Have you tried to research the problem in more detail?

Is the computer plugged in and turned on?

First go into offline mode in steam, uninstall the game. Once you're done don't open it, download ccleaner (google it) and run a registry scan and delete all of the bad registry keys it finds. Also do a clean up scan and delete any files it finds. Reinstall the game and see if that works, if it doesn't, then go into offline mode again then back online and try again.
