driz 2626 Posted February 21, 2014 i started off with an sv, it was GREAT; wheelied like a boss. naked so didnt cost a million every time i laid it down. I moved up to gsxr when i became a pro ninja. yamahas are cool, i won't deny but i like the 750 and no one else makes it. stick a garett turbo in the 750, you can straightline murder a litre bike and still handle the curves. 1 Skotti reacted to this
Skotti 2105 Posted July 14, 2014 Did some much needed adjustments and installations I've been putting off for about 3 months. Foremost, I installed my HID Projector/Halo combo. Pretty fuckin annoying to install too. Took out the housing, heated it up in the oven to pry it apart, painted it black, drilled hole for wires, broke mounting bracket, JB welded the fucker in there, installed projectors upside down, put housing back together, realized I don't understand light refraction through a sphere, put housing back in oven, pried apart a second time, flipped em around, put it back together, and crammed all 20 pounds of wires in the 3x3 inch space they leave behind the speedo. My cheap chinese LED's on the side blew, so I got another one of those coming in, all in all, I'm impressed with it. Should be pretty badass and when I dump this thing on the next owner he'll cringe at the wiring harness if he ever takes it apart. It's in there solid, but looks like shit if you remove some fairings. Added some more superdupercool LED pods to the very bottom of the bike. Needed a little more in the middle area so they are under the footpegs shining down. There are "demon eyes" in the headlights as well, but I didn't feel like figuring out how to wire up a switch to turn the headlights off and the demon eyes on. Last but not least: Ran the bike without some sensors hooked up and it made it run really really rich. (Defaulted safe mode to prevent a very lean mixture) With the air induction system on the exhaust side to burn unburned fuel, started shooting out flames of the pipe. Kinda funny haha.
