Aside from pros, other game development studios are the only ones getting beta keys that I know of. IceFrog said Valve is aiming for large scale beta in Fall. But one is missing....WHERE THE F#CK IS TECHIES!!??!?Also, does anyone notice the fact that there are 5 normal ability slots listed in that SS? (also I didn't read your post, read that other dudes lol). Anyways, I think that they are going to leave controlled units to the same mechanics as is currently in place for dota right now. It would alter the gameplay a lot if they were to change it, and they already stated that they weren't going to alter gameplay significantly from dota on wc3.
