Frosted Butts 53 Posted May 16, 2011 I just installed Windows XP on a 100gb partition of my iMac tonight and I'm having trouble with my microphone. In Skype, my friend can hear me normally but in my browser, on my own computers audio testing thing and in steam (haven't tried any games yet), my voice is really slow and deep. I think it has something to do with hardware acceleration because when I decrease it, it becomes even deeper. However, at it's maxed settings, it's still very demonic sounding. Does anyone know how I can fix it? Do you think an external microphone will work? Can I add additional hardware acceleration? I'm totally clueless because I haven't used a windows computer regularly in like 16 months or something :S
