paperwastage 0 Posted May 8, 2011 Yeah I fall more under category #1 and now that everyone is saying that alienwares are pieces of shit I am probably going to stay away from those.well, if you want a sturdy laptop that lasts you your college career, either get a Macbook (pro), Lenovo Thinkpad T/X/W series, or Dell Business-class laptop(latitude), with 3-4 years warranty..... why? cause of support. laptops will eventually have issues (hdd failing, you spill water on laptop, other issues..... those 3 manufacturers eithre have support nearby, or have next-business-day supports available)not sure what kind of GPU you can find with those machines thoughi used to be in category #1, but I find myself moving towards #2 due to the crappiness of laptop designs Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
