Mic doesn't work in Garry's Mod or Counter-Strike: Source after new patch

It does work when I just do voice recording on my computer, but not on those games after the patch, any fixes for this? I have tried seeing if my voice was set up the same in Garry's Mod and Counter-Strike:Source, and yes, it was the same.

Same thing is happening to me.

They say it's a missing voice codec, but I'm not entirely sure.

I hope they fix it soon, I wanna talk in game.

Go to the sound properties and make sure it's set to 1 channel, 44100 hz, 16bit.

Double check something for me. Go try to use your mic in ZE, then try it in JB.

If it works in ZE it means sv_use_steam_voice on the other servers dun failed hard.
