Need some playstation emulator help

Basically have been trying to get this Playstation emulator, ePSXe, to work so that I can play some of the games from my childhood. I've been able to run other emulators before but this seems to be a problem. I've gone through the .ecm process and ran the .bin file for FF7 and it ends up playing some animation in a loop until I mash some buttons and it tells me new game or continue and that's it. Thought I may need to reconfigure and so I attempt that and it tells me I'm missing some .dll file. Go looking for this solution for a while and eventually find a reliable fix for it, which shockingly doesn't work. I basically have no idea how to get this emulator to run well and so I come here looking for help.

What .dll file?

I think it was called WNASPI32.dll

Put that in system32.

Alright the error is fixed, but I'm still having the same problem with the game when I run it where it just continues a stupid loop.

On a side note do you know how to set it so that it doesn't go into full screen?

Tried that solution and it didn't work.
