I'm seriously about to beam this Router/Modem hybrid thing into my wall.

Ever sence i got this NETGEAR CG814WG v2 from my ISP (Time Warner) its been VERY unpredictable connection (Ill sudenly disconnect every 5 seconds, then get on in another hour...) when it comes to any game that requires me to access a server not owned by a company. (CS:S compaired to WoW (SERVER WISE, NOT GAMEPLAY WISE.))

Can anyone tell me why this fucking thing isnt working, My normal internet works and WoW works, but not Halo 1 and CS:S or HALF LIFE2 DEATHMATCH.

P.S. I don't give a shit if its rented. I will fucking beam it into my wall.

Get your own modem and router. Linsys WR54G is a fine router, I have never had any problems with it. If you have cable, a Motorola surfboard is a decent modem and Netopia makes very good dsl modems. Netgear is garbage, get rid of it.

Just get a motorola internet cable modem and a router linkyes or just get comcast. SCREW NETGEAR
