Shit, I get playable fps on mw2 settings maxed on my ancient computer..

Phenoms are amazing price:performance. AMD Dominates for anything less than $200, and intel dominates anything greater than $200. Sure the i7 is better now, but wait till AMD release Thuban =D

A 4850x2 is pretty powerful, a 5870 would barely give better performance and really wouldn't be worth the money right now.

If all you're doing is gaming, a i7 920 will give at best a 15% increase in fps. (Vs A Phenom II X4)

MW2 is one of the easiest games to play. Like the Source engine, it's very well optimized.

I've seen more computers have program errors because of AMD in comparison to Intel.
