Dojima 7619 Posted April 18, 2010 Personally, I'd wait until the performance jump would be greater, but that's just me.

Guitar Guy 25 Posted April 19, 2010 ew phenom, stick with what you have and wait unless you have the money and absolutely must upgrade >Ew phenomPhenoms are amazing price:performance. AMD Dominates for anything less than $200, and intel dominates anything greater than $200. Sure the i7 is better now, but wait till AMD release Thuban =D 6 Cores for $200 =DA 4850x2 is pretty powerful, a 5870 would barely give better performance and really wouldn't be worth the money right now. Guitar Guy 25 Posted April 19, 2010 the i9 will still be betterThuban will still cost less and have a better price:performance ratio. If all you're doing is gaming, a i7 920 will give at best a 15% increase in fps. (Vs A Phenom II X4)

Like the Source engine, it's very well optimized.

(Vs A Phenom II X4)I've seen more computers have program errors because of AMD in comparison to Intel.
