HL series, Red Faction (1), Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Doom 3, Max Payne (Third person, but plays a lot like a first person), and CHECK MODDB. Mods are the shit dude.

Half Life series are to scary to play alone : - ( same with doom

Red Faction 1 seemed a bit outdated and BFBC2 is way to graphic demanding for my computer.

I was thinking about a game like the Call of Duty series where you kinda team up with a squad etc and go together etc

Grab the SOCOM series for PS2. That's what you want. Or Full Spectrum Warrior.
