In CSS it's different, but in TF2 when you're trying to use your mic to coordinate with your team in ubering, rushing the point, calling out spies, etc... no. I only bought it and played it for a good few hours last night, but communicating with your team about teleports, snipers, and other things makes the game much better than just talking to people about the random shit that gets discussed in CS:S.
