Purple Haze 0 Posted November 26, 2008 Btw you'll love that case( i have it) , just watch your fingers when your fixing something in the case will it is on, the big(250mm) fan will cut your finger and the fan blade may snap off. The Amd don't have a chance well atleast not the the higherend i7 for 500$, and for 999$. I read the tests on the i7 it's bad ass and a good overclocker. And that psu is 2 expensive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817163109 -psu. This 9800GT has a better cooler like akimbo- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130397

Purple Haze 0 Posted November 26, 2008 Umm yea just rember that this new proc uses less energy then all the core 2's. And 8800GT,9800GT's samething just diff bois, don't use alot of watt's, it's not a 8800GTX, or a 9800GTX,GTX260-280. And the psu i gave you have 2 12V rails 32A each, it's much more relaible then 1. +12V1@32A, +12V2@32A. Ill search some more okay.

And abot the psu what ever is best for you go ahead, i think the psu i gave you was 10$ cheaper, but at the expense of another 12v rail, i would just get the 700.Well, I'd like to save money off the bat, and not have to worry about rebates, but do you know how many amps the SilverStone PSU puts out?I'm looking for at least 40 amps or so, to ensure system stability. Purple Haze 0 Posted November 26, 2008 Well i found this 1 89$ mail in rebate=49$. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817341002 IT has 412V rails, 18Amps each. This 1 looks good-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817702007 , 412V +12V1@22A,+12V2@22A,+12V3@36A,+12V4@36A

So did u check those psu's out, i put teh +12V rail info bye it. And your i7 can be overclocked to 3.7 on air cooling, from teh stock 2.6. MY E6750 is 2.6 and can put 3.6 on aircooling. CL-u-BZ 0 Posted December 2, 2008 correct me if im wrong ur mbo supports Triple Channel, so will dual ram work? just a question.
fatb0y 1337 Posted December 2, 2008 i dunno, but he should get triple channel.Get a 3GB 3 stick set.
Pinoy 0 Posted December 2, 2008 Yes, as Intel is anal about pushing DDR3 and Triple Channel.I probably should get a 3GB kit, but it's just so damn expensive compared to DDR2, lol.I think I could survive on Dual Channel for now, still gotta think. Kelso 4 Posted December 3, 2008 Think of the inevitable regret of not spending the extra dollars so you can make your system that much better. Think of when people ask you, "hey man you got the new i7?" and you say yes, and then they ask "nice so new mobo and dd3 triple channel ram too right?" and you just frown to yourself and proceed to cut yourself.A dark road you walk, good sir. Pinoy 0 Posted December 3, 2008 Like I said, expensive.4GB of DDR2 would cost you $80, if not less. The current setup is only to get things started.Buying everything you need at once is not only expensive, but rather not needed.I picked the new i7 platform, because I knew this platform would be upgradedable for the next 5 years or so. And later DDR4 is gunna come out sooner or later, and so on. But your motherboard can't take DDR2 am i wrong?
