ROCKET LEAGUE - 3v3 TOURNAMENT


October 17th and October 18th

 


sG is happy to announce that we will be hosting a cross-platform (PC and PS4) Rocket League 3v3 Double Elimination Tournament on Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th.

Registration Period

  • Registration Starts: Wednesday, Sept 16, 2015, 12:00 AM CST
  • Registration Ends: Friday, October 9, 2015, 11:59 AM CST

Prerequisites
  • Be registered on the sG Forums.
  • Not be banned during registration or the duration of the event.


When

  • Saturday, October 17th - starting as early as 10am PST, 12pm CST and 1pm EST
  • Sunday, October 18th - if needed, starting same times as above

Teams
  • Max Teams: 16 (first come, first serve)
  • Teams will consist of 3 players. You must have a team and team name prior to registering for the tournament.

If this tournament goes exceptionally well and future tournaments seem easily doable and easily repeatable, then camelFun will make a badge for the winners of this tournament after it's over. All winners will be awarded the badge regardless of prize picking, of course.
 
The player with the most points on the Winning team will get first choice on prizes, unless he/she wants to give the first pick to someone else on his/her team. Next prize will follow accordingly. It is very important to screenshot and report your matches.
 

Sign Up

Prior to registering for the tournament, please make sure you are available for Saturday and Sunday. We are giving you enough notice to book these days off if need be. Please have the common courtesy to do so, if you think you might be working. There will be no subs or replacements.

Team Captains will register their team. Please state your Steam/PSN name, your team name and your teammates names.
Note: All team members must be mentioned in the Captain's Post in the Sign Up Thread before a team is considered for the Tournament.

Settings
  • 3v3 Double Elimination Bracket (subject to change)
  • Servers will be on only US-East and US-West.
  • Maps: DFH Stadium, Urban Central, Mannfield, Beckwith Park, Mannfield (Stormy), Beckwith Park (Stormy),Beckwith Park (Midnight)
  • Best of 3 Games - Final will be Best of 5
  • 5 Minute Games
  • Matches will be played in 'Private Match' Lobbies with a Name and Password. The first Host Team will be the higher seeded team within the bracket (random draw) and the second game will be hosted by the lower seeded team. This will alternate until a tie breaker is needed. The team with the highest goal count between all previous games in the series will host the tiebreaker game of the series.
  • Winning teams must Screen Shot after every game/map and report it on the forums.

Gameplay

  1. After a Private Match has been created, Players on the two Teams and sG Staff members may be invited/join. If a Player who is not a registered member of one of the Teams (ineligible player) joins a team (Blue/Orange), the game must be ended.
  2. Players should not choose a team, Orange or Blue, until all players have joined the lobby. If the match is to be streamed by sG Staff, all players and broadcasters need to be in the lobby before the players choose a team.
  3. This tournament is for PlayStation 4 and PC players. Cross platform support is available for private matches. Private matches must be created using a Room Name and Password for all players to join. Read this to determine How to Setup a Private Lobby.
  4. If a player lags out during the first 30 seconds or before the first goal, the game should be ended and restarted.
  5. If a player lags out after the first 30 seconds and/or after the first goal, the match must continue. After a Game has ended, the shorthanded Team will be given 5 minutes for their teammate to return before they must start another game shorthanded.
  6. If a player pauses a game, a reason must be provided. Total pause time for any team may not exceed 5 minutes.
  7. If the map results in a tie the match will automatically go into overtime. Once in overtime the first team to score a goal wins that map.
  8. Any form of cheating, glitching or abusing in-game mechanics may result in a Forfeit of a Game, Match, or Ban from the tournament and upcoming tournaments. In addition, breaking any rule may result in a Forfeit of a Round/Game, Forfeit of a Match, or Ban.
  9. sG reserves the right to broadcast any Match. If sG chooses to broadcast a Match, sG Staff members must be allowed into each Game. If sG Staff members are unable to connect to a Host, all other hosting options may be explored until a suitable Host is found.
  10. Third party communication is allowed for this tournament. (i.e skype, TeamSpeak, Party Chat, etc.). However, players must be able to communicate with any staff member that joins the lobby.​
