    Unresponsive/slow Recent Posts

    So, the recent posts plugin seems to be bugged.

     

    I first noticed it about 20 minutes ago (maybe 9PM CST?) when posts in FFA weren't showing up, so I took it as you guys having fixed FFA showing up there.  So I tested it by making a post and a new thread in FFA, and it didn't show up in the recent posts or recent topics feed.  Beerman's post also did not show up.

    As you see in the screenshot below, I tried to test elsewhere -- made a post in spam, made a thread in spam, and made a post in The Pub.  None of them showed up.

    As you can see though, Ctark and that Valerian guy's posts did show up.

     

    Just an FYI in case something is throwing out errors.

     

     

    Side note:  Why is this here on the "create a bug" forum?

    Just happened again, 9:53 CST.

    As you can see, I made a post in FFA 2 minutes ago, doesn't show up in recent posts.  Krony made a post in Members Only 8 minutes ago, but it shows up on the recent post feed as being 4 minutes ago.

    Huh, that's weird.  Now 3 minutes later Krony's post shows up correctly, but the post from FFA isn't there.

    Editing to add now that Dr. Pepper's post is 5 minutes old, it still shows up as 1 minute old in the recent post feed.

    As to the first point, spam and FFA don't show up in the recent posts / recent topics.

    The pub does show up, but the donations subforum does not.

     

    It seems like you picked the only area's that won't show up to test in...

     

    As for the time issue, that's due to caching.  To cut down on the server workload, it only updates some static content every xx minutes.  (example being the recent posts / topics)
