Just wondering if anyone is down to play some War3 all night, kinda bored got nothing to do server was popped but i went afk and it was empty... so, who is down to play?

I must apologize about any ignorance for my posts first and for most. I play the war3 server and am inviting all of my friends and those that play war3. still trying to get used to the forums yet am trying to become an sg member and am still trying to get used to posting here. ty for reading my post. I am usually on around 930 pt.

Talk to one of the RO's or Staff they should help you settle into the idea of How you want to do it, what you want it to be, what server(s) and things such as prizes
 
They will help you get squared away with things like that

I do not know if it is working yet I try to invite people every night to the war3 server, and hope to one day join sg.

Add a perk to re roll your rotd once a day

Description of Benefits
 
Access to the exclusive #war3_supporters channel on the JoinSG discord server, which frequently includes discussion of future changes to the server, brainstorming, and other War3 Staff discussions. See this post for more info and how to gain access to the server if you are a supporter. When a supporter is in the game, all players gain 1% bonus experience (caps at 10% bonus experience, if more than 10 supporters were present). You can access races up to 250 levels above your total level. e.g. if your total level is 500, you have access to races up to 750 total level required. You will also get an additional "New Races Unlocked" text print showing what races you unlocked because you are a Supporter. You can use "/suppcash 16000" once per map to give cash. This has the same rules as admin cash. Every 5 rounds, can only use it for 15 seconds after freeze time, and you cannot give 16k in addition to an admin giving 16k. Ability to nominate maps, no matter how recently they have been played (currently must use /nominate <mapname>, it will still show on the nominate list as disabled). You can use "#" in ALL chat to send special messages (similar to (ADMIN) or [STAFF]). (W3 SUPPORTER) Face: Hey! You can use "#" in TEAM chat to send messages that only supporters can read and respond to. (TO W3 SUPPORTERS) Face: Hey!  
All players can type /supporter to see the active supporter XP bonus and a list of all supporter benefits.
 
When Supporters join and leave, custom joining and leaving messages print:
[W3 SUPPORTER] Face has joined the server! Supporter XP bonus for all players is now 1%
[W3 SUPPORTER] Face has disconnected! Supporter XP bonus for all players is now 0%

I understand the annoyance and I agree that sometimes it's very frustrating to get instagibbed, but I don't think it's a good idea to just restrict movement outright. I think the fast-pace is what attracts a lot of people in the first place, and slowing it down may have more of a negative effect than a positive one.

I'm not sure what everyone is doing on Thursday night but let's get on then around 7pm cst.

So I've come up with an idea good in theory but needing tweeking  and support.  The idea is to create an official community YouTube channel that everyone can contribute to. Videos the channel would feature can include raw gameplay on the servers and other games members play like for instance pubg matches, highlight videos similar to the old jb videos some people used to make , basic guides to the servers like a jb or Warcraft how to for people that prefer learning visually, jb map secret videos(community member walks the viewer through some of a maps secrets and gives tips) ,sG  tournament recordings, maybe a news update occasionally.
 
Since itd be a community shared channel we'd set up a system anyone can share content with a moderator or moderators who in turn will decide if the video is ok to share and them give them credit when it's uploaded. I know we have sG members with their own channels like @Wave who can give advice and maybe share content with us and vice versa. We can start it off just by collecting all the old videos of the servers in one place.  What do you guys think? Would anyone  be willing to help talk on the responsibility or make content for the channel ? It would be open to any sort of vaguely sG  related content be it server footage or members playing something.

I'm redoing how I update this thread, as the spoiler tags are getting really long and tedious, and I have been slacking on posting these updates. I'll be putting the updates in the new post each time  rather than on this post.
 
 

Hiya guys, thought I'd share an idea that I was hyped about working on. I'm calling it the Legendary system, modeled similarly to World of Warcraft's legendary equipment system. Equipping a Legendary will alter a race in a way slightly, much like an expertise. Unlike expertise though, you can acquire and store a currency called Shards in order to unlock a Legendary and potentially have one unlocked for a race you have at level 0. Each race will have a handful of Legendaries; I'm thinking 3 each for starters. Players are limited to one Legendary item equipped at a time.
The main way of acquiring a Legendary would be simply playing the game: obtaining a kill (higher chance if headshot) or planting/defusing/hostaging/winning the round/healing as Trinity+Holy Paladin+Priest will each have a very small % to obtain a random Legendary. A smaller chance will give you a Shard instead, which will allow you to pick which Legendary you get. Shards could be given away freely every 500 total levels or so. Mabey a present could even drop at a low chance on kill similar to eggs/pumpkins, which yield either a legendary or a Shard. Crazy freeforall rush for the loot!
 
Here's some quick visuals. The Legendaries menu will be brought up by typing "legendary" into chat, similar to changerace.
 
Then, selecting a race will reveal you the Legendary available to it and what each does. Selecting the Artifact will then equip it if you have it and then close the menu (similar to picking a race). Here's an example screen of someone who owns two Undead Scourge Legendaries(notice the third is greyed out because he doesn't have it -- if he had a Shard then the text would be red and selecting it would consume the shard and unlock it for him).
 
I like the system for two reasons. One: It adds another layer of depth into the game, something else to strive for when killing people. Currently, the two things players can obtain by playing the game are server rank and levels -- this adds another reward system to constantly fuel that desire for dopamine.
Two: The system will certainly add a small level of powercreep but will be a great way to finetune older races into importance and we'll finally see some races being played again. Additionally, it adds a small level of customization into the game. Our diehard Trickster Assassin or Shadow Lurker fans can choose which route they want to specialize in to suit their playstyles.
 
The shard system also allows additional p a y 2 w i n options in addition to our current ones. Supporters can have an increased drop rate for legendaries. Players could also flatout buy Shards, similar to buying credits for other our pay2win servers like JB and ZE. We're gonna be rich.
 
Please share thoughts! I was excited to work on the system myself but wanted to create a race first in order to prove to myself that I could code. I'm busy & putting it off for now but if anyone wants to start refining/working on this (if greenlit by Engies), go right ahead. We could also have a War3 event to kickstart the system with increased drop rates for the duration of the event. Events are always fun.

Our Warcraft 3 server is fine how it is, though however, I would like to see some ACTUAL Warcraft 3 heroes added to the server. I understand that the Warcraft mod is about having a set of abilities and not about the lore of the game itself, but it just doesn't feel right to ignore the large, untapped potential content that's in the actual game and its expansion. In just Warcraft 3 + Frozen Throne, we get heroes from all across the Warcraft universe: Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outland, Northrend, and even on some islands. In this post, I'll list off a ton of potential additions to the server and hopefully inspire some people to go out and write up races for use on the server. In red will be heroes being unused, in yellow heroes that are kinda used, and in green are heroes that are being used currently.
 
I will update the list and link the hero name to your post, so feel free to pick one and get creative. I would recommend reading up on how the hero worked in-game to get a sense on how their abilities should be like on the server.
