Recently as a war3 community we are all noticing a large amount of SOs getting promoted for our server (which is an amazing thing). We believe that the individuals being selected for SO are not an ideal fit for the community. In our opinions an SO should be an active member of the server and not a show up once or twice a week for 5 min to 1 match. We understand that an SO position usually requires an applicants request, but this has not been providing positive results. We rarely see the majority of the current SO WAR3 members in the server and we would like to request that the SOs are re-evaluated based on what they will provide in the leadership position. It is understood that it may be the case of not enough members putting in an application for the role. A suggestion is that the current, active SOs for the war3 server, are able to provide a recommendation of the most adequate current SG members of the server for the position without having to submit a request. By viewing all potential nominations the current SOs can debate among themselves on which they believe will fit into the role of SO the best. After selecting a few nominations that they believe are capable they can contact these specific members and ask if they would take the position without having to jump through the hoops of the current application process. As a community we believe it is fairly obvious which members should be revoked SO, and we believe that there is no need to point them out individually on this thread. 
 
*I am not sure if it would be a good idea for the server population to have a voice as well, because we are the individuals that have the greatest understanding of who would be an ideal fit. Also an SO should never be given a postion by having "hook-ups" or people that have it given because of their relationship with certain individuals*

*This is not directly my opinion (everything that is written I made sure were the beliefs of the general populations). I was told many times to post these server wide views on the forums to get the word out, but many don't have faith that it will even change anything. I am always asking what players opinions are on how the server is being run and this was one of the biggest responses. I just wanted to do my part and get the word out. If anyone has any questions or statements I will most likely not reply because this was the opinion of the vast majority of the playerbase and I am not willing to speak for them on matters I have not addressed. If you are curious about the subject just join the server and ask everyone and you will receive responses from the direct population on this issue. Thank You*

I'd assume that the reason you are getting black models is that the resources for the model failed to download but that the model downloaded fine (though I could very well be wrong). Try opening the model in the model viewer in Counter-Strike Global Offensive - SDK (you can download this by going to "Tools" part of your steam library) and see if it looks fine there. If it shows up as black in the model viewer, go to the materials tab at the bottom, select one of the materials on the left menu, then select $basetexture on the right menu. When you do this, you should see a file path like "models/player/some folder/model name/texture name" or something similar. Go to \Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\materials\ on your computer (would be inside where you download your steam games), then navigate based on the file path that the model viewer gave you. If there is nothing there, it means you don't have the materials for the model downloaded. If there is something there, make sure it is named what the model viewer expects it to be named, as if the name is even 1 letter off, it won't be shown. Although these steps may not necessarily fix your problem, they might at least identify why you are getting the black models. If it shows up perfectly fine in the model viewer and the materials are where they are supposed to be, I have no idea why you are getting black custom models.

Any form of suicide (including changing teams) the first round is now logged. If you attempt to progress the round number in order to get additional cash, spawn with guns faster, etc. you will be banned for abusing the system.
 
Dark Templar now consistently blocks only 1 bullet with his shield (instead of sometimes blocking 2, dependent on how fast your gun fired) - however he has gained 15% passive speed.
 
Fixed some Clutch Chat bugs, also I log a lot more stuff that will benefit us in debugging crash problems.
 
Adjusted Paradox skill descriptions to be more correct.

Server thoughts
I intend to add Black Market Dealer and another mystery race before I disappear Post all the bugs you can NOW! I'll likely go on a bug fixing bonanza before my leave I currently have no other changes planned between now when I return  
The server surviving my extended absence without sharp population drops hinges on a couple things:
Populate the server! If nobody is playing, nobody will join - it's that simple. The longer the server goes unpopulated, the harder it is to populate at a later date. If you are staff (or non-staff but motivated), please consider how you can contribute to the server during my extended absence. This doesn't necessarily have to be via coding!

Fixed bugs:
Mole now checks if you collide with any objects before choosing a spawn point. This should prevent getting stuck in players (rare) or spawning in the middle of the map (why is a spawn there ????) Corpse Bomber should have no more issues with certain primaries (namely M4A1S) not working with ult Cursed Pharaoh "Curse of the Pharaoh" skill no longer procs itself Igna Phoenix no longer slows herself (woops) Ruthless Mercenary grenades now don't hit Goblin Alchemist (2nd times a charm?) Xian ult no longer checks if ability is in cooldown  
Nerf:
Along w/ the phys dmg changes previously, Ruthless Mercenary nades dealt a lot more damage than intended. Lowered "max" dmg of subsequent nades from 150 to 115. Misc:
After I get a manual restart in, all CTs and Ts will spawn as the same models (instead of being randomly selected based on map). This prevents some models spawning with 100% invis heads if a player has invisibility. These are the 2 models we used to use ~2+ years ago, for you old-timers. Lol:

So in the newest themes of elemental races that exist and might ever be I am requesting that the race elemental be changed to elementalist. Besides that name fits it more then just elemental by what the race actually does.
